Fast and excellent value
Much faster than your average reader - both the no-brands and the ones that come together with micro-SD cards. Purchased for a computer with no slot, but I use it even on the computers that HAVE slots. Still works after three years of regular use.

Works great. Fast. No complaints.
Works great. This reader ran my 64GB sdxc class 10 U3 cards to speed limit on speed read write tests. Quality build and looks and feels of high quality. Card fits firmly into slot, but thats a good thing as far as I am concerned. Does not fall out or wiggle. Reader was delivered very fast. I was surprised actually. Works Well.
I have two now and I got this because the first one has been a solid workhorse since I got it.

There are some bad batches QC misses but support is good
I've had one of these for a few years that I've kept as an as-needed reader for whatever machine i am using - no issues - speed has been decent and I've had no trouble with it. I got another one more recently that had the intermittent failure issue others have mentioned - my Linux (fedora) notebook makes a small clicky suodn when peripherals are disconnected, and it would connect and disconnect repeatedly, sometimes after 15 seconds, sometimes long enough that it seemed like a write or boot image would complete, only to fail.. Apparently some of these have made it through QC tests but have this problem. Support was quick to respond, asked me a few questions and sent me a replacement in less than a week after first contacting them. The new one works fine, so now I have one for home and one to take to work (and I sacrificed the failed one to the electronic fire gods). In short, there are bad batches but these folks take care of their customers. It's a good product for a great price. No regrets, I'd just recommend testing on a clean, lower-end card to confirm that you don't have the disconnect issue before moving on to regular use on critical projects.

Very good product for about $6
Sabrent Post Very, very good product for about $6, so do not hesitate to purchase them because they are so cheap. The recessed in a hole, very tiny diameter connected/activity blue LED located close to the plug end, stays on steady until a read/write activity makes it flash off/on/off at 2x/second. The cap only fits the plug end, looks overly dramatic, but it does fit very snug. I had nothing but great performance from the first one so I bought another one. They are inexpensive enough that your used-for-storage SDXC cards can have a permanent home in one, stored in your FlashDrive drawer. The full sized SD card sticking out the side means it will have to be installed first in an end port with room on the side. Also the width of the adapter's body can interfere on some twin USB port laptops with an adjacent flash drive plugged in if the FD is wider than a standard USB plug. With a 32 or 64GB SDXC card, this adapter and a USB3.0 capable motherboard you have a FAST, inexpensive, compact, reliable way to store important files locally, easily separated from your PC and/or transferred to another. Those SD cards take up very little space when stored, so using a 64GB or 128GB card for each PC (Desktop/Laptop/Netbook) disk image backup or important files makes sense. I have a 16GB SDXC card dedicated to running/installing 1.6GB Linux Mint .ISO distros via UNetBootin, which happens quick on USB3.0!! You can even use UNetBootin with the free download clonezilla, a partition and disk imaging/cloning program on the Sabrent adapter, for HDD to SSD replacements. It will only Boot diagnostic, repair, or OS installation programs from an SD card if it is run on newer computers or one's with more capabilities . . . rather than those with simplistic BIOS firmware like my old HP 17" Laptop that once had WinVista on it. I have 2 of these with 32GB SDXC cards (from Amazon) plugged into my desktop PC that is running Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 for 5+ hours/day, every day for months, using them in place of a USB portable HDD or SSD. The full sized SD card and the adapter are always cool to the touch. Essentially I have 2 inexpensive, low powered SSD's that are much easier to transport or store.

Erfüllt seinen Zweck, macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Datenübertragung für SD-Karten, beispielsweise für Kameras funktioniert einwandfrei

This thing as really cheap when I bought it, hopefully is when you are considering it. It looks the part and is made by Sabrent which are quite a known brand for data. Aesthetically it is pleasing it has a sharp geometric design on it making it feel quite nice as part of a high tech theming. It is about the size of a standard USB disk. The device is light by itself and a couple of SD cards won't really change that. It will mostly conceal a micro SD when inserted, although a standard SD will stick out quite a bit. This device does everything it needs to. It has good transfer all my cards read and wrote at their advertised speeds through this device when attached to a USB3 port. It handles both slots being seen when filled. It has a busy light but is subtle so you can check on it but it is not going to distract or detract you while you do other tasks on the computer.
