It has a diamond texture on the outside. It's absolutely not real leather. It's got a core of what looks like ground-up cardboard with white paint on the outside. It easily splits apart.

Q: How does sizing run on this belt?

Some say order a size or two larger.

Q: my waist measures 42, exactly. what number should i buy for this number to be in a central hole?

I would go for a 44. I have a 36" waist, and I got a 38. I am two to 3 holes in depending on the day and what I am wearing.
