Eat Smart Products Digital Bathroom Scale with Extra Large Lighted Display, Free Body Tape Measure Included, Grey and Clear

The last scale I had was a peice of junk. It was the brand Healthometer and if you weighed yourself 5 times right in a row, it would give you different weights each time (varying by as much as 10 pounds!) I have been trying to eat better and drop weight and in doing so I got frustrated with the old scale and threw it in the trash. I began to research and look for a new scale when I ran across this one, with great reviews, on Amazon. I also put feelers out on the weight loss website MyFitnessPal and asked other members what scale they like- 3 people immediately recommended the brand EatSmart to me so I was sold and ordered one.I have not been disappointed with this scale. It's absolutely perfect for me- exactly what I was looking for. Here are the awesome points:1. Attractive design- very modern, very sleek, something you can keep out on the floor and not hide in the bathroom closet like I did with my last scale.2. Sturdy and wide- more than enough room to step on and no issues standing and balancing on it.3. Accurate! SO ACCURATE! I step on 3 times in a row on occasion (and move it around to different places on the floor) and get the same weight every single time. I have 2 roommates who use it and it is consistently accurate for everyone.4. No tapping before you step on it. Some scales you have to tap, wait for it to fire up, wait for it to read a certain way/number before you step on it, step on trying to be as still as possible and then it takes a even longer time for your weight to register. But this one you just step on and it reads your weight, very quickly I might add.5. Price- this is a great price for what you get! I just wanted a basic scale, I didn't need anything to track my weight loss (I am doing that online) or to register body fat. This just gives you weight (I have mine in pounds but you can switch to stone or kilograms easily with a little switch under the scale.) For the price it's a great scale.6. Easy to calibrate- super easy actually. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface, press down on the scale for a few seconds, release the pressure, and wait for the scale to 0.0- and it's calibrated.7. Easy to read- numbers are big and it lights up bright, as it's back lit.8. Weights you in increments of .2 lbs. (or 3oz) so you get a very precise weight.So if you are looking for a basic scale at a great price, look no further. This one will not disappoint.

The only reason we bought it again is because we moved and gave the one we bought in 2009 away to a friend (she is quite happy with it). We were THRILLED that this awesome product has been improved. We expected the same great product we have enjoyed so far, but this most recent purchase has managed to exceed our expectations. However, if you're just looking for a reliable tool to help you track your weight, this scale is AWESOME!These are the features that attracted me to buy this scale:1.- PRECISION. According to the manufacturer's description, this scale gives readings in 0.2 lbs. increments. I'm not sure whether the description on Amazon is outdated, but the scale we received gives us readings in 0.1 increments (which, incidentally, was what I wanted to begin with).2.- ACCURACY and CONSISTENCY. The whole point of having such a tool is to rely on it's veracity. This scale has given me readings that are consistent with my doctor's calibrated scale (I've had weekly weigh-ins for my prenatal checkups). Consistency is an issue if you're set on tracking your progress. If you cannot trust your readings to consistently be accurate, what's the point of weighing yourself?3.- BACKLIT DISPLAY. Don't underestimate this; it's a very useful feature. You won't know it until you find yourself in your dark bathroom, naked, trying to figure out what the reading says waaaaaay down below. My husband certainly appreciates this, as the window in our bathroom offers a full view of our hygiene rituals.4.- COMFORTABLE PLATFORM --it is, indeed, bigger than the standard platform on most scales. This makes it easy to stand on, especially for my husband (and his big feet).5.- MANUFACTURER GUARANTEE. Not only is it mentioned on the product description, but if you browse through the reviews, you'll find that EatSmart actually contacts disgruntled customers to offer apologies and SOLUTIONS. This approach is so underrated. EatSmart should get some merit for that. It's evident they are making an effort to warrant customer satisfaction, and they keep track of the reviews their products receive. (Heck, check out their other product reviews, and you'll find that they do this for all their products).6.- VERSATILITY. This humble scale offers you readings in kilograms, pounds and stone... your choice.7.- SLEEK DESIGN. Perhaps this is not so much of an issue for some, but it is definitely a plus. This scale is of simple, modern and sleek design. It blends in.I read many reviews before I set out to buy this scale. I like to skim through the rave reviews and really focus on the bad reviews. I believe it gives me an idea as to whether the item has legitimate issues (faulty manufacturing, bad quality, cheap craftsmanship, et al), and whether these issues will compromise my satisfaction with said purchase.As for some of the complaints mentioned in other reviews, here's my take:1.- Inconsistency. Not my case. Perhaps they received a faulty item. From the looks of it, far more people are pleased with the accuracy and consistency of this scale than there are people with this problem.2.- Frailty. Ok, when I read the review about the shattered platform, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. It is a glass platform; treat it accordingly. I'm sure it's designed to withstand some degree of manhandling (I tripped on it once and was relieved to see there was no damage done), but please do treat it kindly.3.- Fussy Tap-On Feature. Some people complained that oftentimes the scale won't turn on with the suggested tap on the surface. People complained you have to tap the surface too hard, and, in some cases, you have to lift it to get it to turn on. Yes, that's happened to us. But not that often so it's really a non-issue (for us). We just tap it a bit harder.Bottom line, I definitely recommend this digital scale. It delivers. I stand by everything I mentioned in the original review. We are still very, VERY happy with our purchase. We still use it every day. We still feel completely satisfied with it's performance and it's looks. I still grant it a 5 star review.In my experience, this product has thus far given us PRECISE, ACCURATE and CONSISTENT readings. Initially, we monitored my pregnancy weight gain with this scale. We now use it to monitor our baby daughter's weight, too... So far, we have had matching weigh-ins with our pediatrician's scale.Also, our baby loves to play with it; I let her tap it and she giggles as she lights up the screen *heehee!* So you see, it gets plenty of use. Even so, we haven't had to change batteries just yet.This is a purchase I have not regretted once. We have moved four times since we bought it, and it has weathered with us (I kept the original packaging).I cannot recommend it enough. This scale makes me happy daily, it's true. I LOOOOVE our EatSmart digital scale!

Snceramente tenía algo de miedo que no fuera a funcionar, pero me llevé la sorpresa que por el precio viene muy bien; es muy bonita, funcionó rápido, fácil y nos hemos pesado con mi familia y nos ha dado en peso preciso. Es simple, pero cumple con lo esencial. Cabe añadir que viene con sus baterías y una cinta para tomar medidas.

I was surprised by the sheer weight of the scale. It gave me the impression tt it can withstand heavy weights. I changed it easily fr lbs to kg with just a press of the button. And the best of it all is that the weight reading remains the same even when i step on it multiple times, unlike my other weighing scale tt changes by the second! And it arrived earlier than expected fr amazon us! Am impressed!!

Really great, easy to use.Step in, step out, that's all.Turns on and off automatically.Construction feels really solid, and the design a little bit more discreet that in the picture (a little bit darker, slightly green tempered glass and deep blue bright screen). It get down a little when step in and activate the sensors, but still feels very solid and I actually enjoy the feeling.The accuracy is suppose to be very good (regarding some reviews), but I don't have any other device to compare.It calibrated itself. When using it the first time, it gives you a higher number. After stepping out, it turns off after a few seconds. Then the auto-calibration is complete. Next time it will give you the right weight. My only complain is that it need to auto-calibrate every time the scale is moved ( like when cleaning around or accidentally move it with my feet).It came with batteries and a body measuring tape ( a little bit hidden under the protecting package material).It can be adjusted to kg, pounds or stones.
