Great tube sounding
Love the amp, but I've blown both fuses. They are extremely hard to find. Got the 15 amp ones from China, apparently USA does not make these any more. Had to order the 630 ma fuse from USA firm. $5.95 for shipping $3.00 worth of fuses bad they are not here after almost 3 weeks. I am mad. These were all ordered from Amazon, since they were not available locally. If you buy the amp, think about ordering so spare fuses.

Rocking At Home, With A Rockingly Well Built Amp!
It's a great amp, loud, sounds amazing and built well! It's definately one of the best amps I've owned in the last 25 years. With that said, I don't play professionally, but as other reviews around the internet state, it will work well for that application!

Extremely Versatile Amplifier In Every Sense
For starters, I bought this second hand, but played it in-store and my jaw dropped at the tone coming out of this thing, I was playing on the OD-1 at the time and it just sang for days. So I ended up as I said buying it second-hand because it was to expensive new, and I got a good deal on it. So, onto the review...I'd dare say, after playing with it a few weeks & getting to know it, I honestly thing the best thing this amp has is the clean channel. Believe it or not, it seems to provide a very unique sound in, that "clean with a hint of dirt", or even a good amount of dirt, but 100% pure tube driven. I understand the OD-1 & OD-2 have some op amps pushing the tube to create distortion, but by the sound of it the clean channel doesn't have the same circuitry pushing the tubes. I wish I had a clip, but honestly the clean channel is where it's at with this amp. It's the closest thing I've found to an SRV sound, even more so than the overdrive channels because none of the harmonics are getting choked out or compressed. As for the OD-1, this was initially the reason I purchased the amp, this channel gets that classic overdrive sound, without any pedals required, it has more than enough dirt capable to pull off most classic rock style music. I'd like to note, to my ears, this channel is more of a "bassman" type sound, it's very punchy, and though it is more compressed than the clean channel, it's still has enough harmonics to be given that pseudo clean sound when you roll off the volume just a hair. This was my favorite channel initially, but after I found out that the clean channel could be pushed into overdrive just using the volume control, I've mainly lived in that channel, but OD-1 is still good for getting that "scuttle buttin'" sound without any pedals required.OD-2 is a beast all on it's own, I enjoy the classic clean sound, but this channel really goes into that insane, metal monstrosity amount of gain. The good news is, it is controllable gain, if you use it right. I'm not a guy who turns up the gain to 10 and just lets everything flop out of the amp, I like things to be articulate and controlled, and luckly enough with the gain and volume set about 9 o'clock, there's more than enough gain for lead, but it's not destroying the original guitar signal in the process. On my particular amp, resonance is my worst enemy, I have mine off all the time, I never even touch it. With this amp, and at least where it's setup in my house, it introduces a lot of intrusive and muddy bass end. Same thing with the bass controls almost, on both the clean and dirty I never turn up my bass control past 9 o'clock, or else things get boomy very, very fast. I thought about upgrading the speakers but honestly, I don't hear any reason to. They seem to work for this amp, they compliment the amps darks nature, and they don't seem to be pingy or boomy, they just sound good. They get a bad reputation, and I myself was skeptical, but at least up-to-date, I just don't hear a good enough reason to. Also, the reverb sounds good, but not great, it has a very short tail-end to it,, but honestly I wouldn't worry to much. I keep my reverb on very little anyways, so it does the job, but it's no spring reverb tank. All in all, I think this amp is great for the money, and it even does fine with home use, though it is INCREDIBLY loud when you turn it up even a little, it's almost like 100W heads, but with just enough control-ability to maintain good tone at low volumes.A tip for buyers, I think it's important to note that both overdrive channels are op-amp driven, in other words the same way a pedal pushes the front end into overdrive, is the same way this amp is pushed into overdrive (at least by forum reports, as well I can hear the difference). This wasn't clearly advertised when I purchased it, and it is noticeable, but not the exact same as a pedal. The op-amps push the tubes, and color the sound, this in effect compresses the sound quite a bit, which is why I liked the clean channel so much I think, it appears to be the least colored of all three channels. It's a shame they didn't present this upfront, as I think it'd help to mold peoples expectations a little bit, but I don't have any regrets. The sound provided is massive, with all three-channels unique and versatile. Though there is more details to ponder, I hope that my review help clear any quires about the sound provided, please ask questions and I'll answer back when I can, happy hunting!

want the tone, volume, and "balls" of a half stack, without having to break your back? then this is your amp
i recently replaced my 150 watt mesa stiletto stage II trident and marshall 1960 lead cab with this 212 combo, and i must admit... BLOWN AWAY. the tone and voicing controls are amazing and make it almost effortless to get any tone you want, and more importantly, it's not a back breaker. it weighs half as much as my mesa head ALONE, and it's even LOUDER. couldnt be happier with this amp.HOWEVER, if i were to complain about anything, it would have to be the footswitch and footswitch cable included with the amp. i have my switch permanently placed on my large pedal board, and trying to plug the cable in to both the footswitch and the amp itself is a total pain in the ass(it looks like a computer screen cable), and there also seems to be a SLIGHT delay when i switch between channels.

Out of all the amps I've owned.......
I did a lot of research before buying this amp,I've owned just about every brand, sunn, fender, acoustic, hartke, crate, etc. everything...... except egnater, dumble, Hughes & Kettner, engl, and soldano. When I put this through it's paces in our studio, I was sold!!!!got rid of the bugera head,my Peavey's and all four mesa boogies (too heavy anyway) .....Kept 1 line6 spider valve, and an eden combo I am going to invest in a Blackstar head 100/w, and maybe another stage 60 for gigging with my Guitar Rig setup.....I can dial in all I need with this combo. Everyone loves the tones I can pull out this amp...Wish I'd bought one a long time ago. Could have saved a lot of dollars and my back.....Not to mention that bewildered look on my Wife's face with the merry-go-round of equipment.......This is IT.....clean, Tone, nice crunch, singing leads, not too Pricey, and versatile...
