Canon3923B002 Document Scanner

Canon ordered was lost for a while even amazon didnot where it was ,amazon even refund me but it reappear again and amazon charge me again , abit more than it was startedThen I have problem with support with canon aus ,they refused advice for any question and canon us not much betterand all this time I mumbled through with function of the unit, unable to use the unit to full capacity and and I could not getany support from adobe with adobe software come with the unit eitherI supposed it wasnt amazon fault still I was quite cheese off

I like it. It is serving my needs and expectations. I like being able to do 2-sided scannings in one swipe.

Scanner seems to be working OK, however you have to use Canon supplied USB A to B cable for it to work...I tried other A to B cables for scanner positioning purposes, but none worked except using A to B switch box.

This scanner is easy to install, fast, and the duplex scanning on one pass is great. This is our great second unit in service.

Although this product is more expensive than many inexpensive scanners, it is worth the expense if you do a lot of scanning. It has many useful features. It was easy to install with the included driver CD. It is comparatively heavy compared to less expensive units. It also requires about 20 seconds of warm-up if it hasn't been used in recently. The scanner easily integrated with an electronic medical program software that I am using.

Sheet feeder on scanner worked for about the first week OK. After that it started jamming regularly and feeding in several to 10 pages at once. Now it pretty consistently jams every feed - terrible experience. I purchased through Technology Galaxy - another bad experience. They recommended this scanner as one of the best for the price (over $600) and when I called to tell them it was jamming up and feeder did not work they said that is between you and Canon - no refunds, no returns, no replacements. I would go with another product - I wish I had. You would think they would have something as simple as a mechanical sheet feeder figured out by now, especially for this price, but obviously Canon does not.

This small, portable scanner outperforms the massive industrial-sized copier/printer/scanner at work. Amazing. I have used it to scan tens of thousands of pages and very rarely has it jammed. In addition to the way the hardware performs, the software included with it really makes it a high-performance scanner. I love that it one-pass scans double-sided documents and skips blank pages. I love that it turns upside down scans, right-side up. I love that it does OCR, and does it well. Great machine.

Bought two of these scanners. They worked fine for the first few weeks, but now constantly say that the scanner is locked when it is not. Tried cleaning the screen, removing virus protection, and everything else, but nothing works for more than a scan or two. Canon support is awful. They keep shorter hours for scanner problems than other equipment, and email support clearly has given up on this product. Takes forever to warm up. Give your money to a company that cares for a product that actually works. This thing is virtually worthless.
