I was happy with this spreader in terms of build quality and performance. There are some good videos on you tube that show you the best way to use it. The only thing I would say is that I would have a 500 sq metre lawn and this took less than 10 minutes to cover the whole area. If you have a more normal size lawn a cheaper smaller handheld spreader would be more than enough. When cranking the handle at a readonable rate the spread is easily over 4 metres so I ended up winding very slowly in the tighter areas and thinking I could have used a smaller spreader.

Spreads fertiliser easily and evenly. Especially useful in tight small areas. One major fault - the plastic leg is too brittle and will snap unless great care is used.

Comfortable and easy to use. I prefer this item to a drop feed roll option. Has a quick shut off to avoid over feed and spillage. Quality item. I would recommend this spreader.

Easy to use and a great way of getting an even spread of lawn feed down.

Updated now i own it 6mths. Initially 4 out of 5 stars, seemed cheaply made but was nice and easy to use, good capacity and was quicker than my old handheld £10 spreader that was smaller amd had to be comstantly filled. 6mths in and its rusted and seized, 2 feeds on a few gardens i maintain, now october 2023 and I pull it out to do some winter feeds and its scrap material. Gearbox seized, surface rust on all the once silver metal components. Had been blown out with an air compressor after last use and been stored in a plastic box in my van, clean and dry ready for next use. Back to my handheld. Bought for £60+ which was half what others had been asking for this product. When i received it I was glad i had not paid £140 for it as that would defintely have been too much for the build quality. £60 was a stretch to pay for this item and it now seems that £60 is defintely 60 times more than anyone should pay for it. Even trying to service it is impossible, hex screws that dont have any comparable socket, not a 6mm not a 7mm, not a 3/8th not a 1/4.No way to contact seller here either so basically now looks like its going to landfill.Dont buy!

Easy way to treat grass

Husband uses this to apply fertilizer to the grass in yard. Has also been used to apply grass seed. As long as you don’t get it wet and keep it from rusting, should last a long time. This was our second one to purchase in about 6 years

I used this to seed about 6 acres. Did the job with no issues.

I’ve used this brand for many years. The only complaint is when I fill it up with seed or fertilizer it collapses. It’s so frustrating! That white plastic support, inside the bag, is a joke. I’m going to invent a better support and send it to the idiot engineers of the company. The only reason I keep buying this seed spreader is bc it’s easy to store, easy to use, and it will last me for the season or two.

Simple to use and sturdy for seeding, fertilizing or salting slick surfaces.
