Asus Eee PC 1005HA 1005HAB 1005HA-A 1005H Series NetBook Battery Black

I purchased this battery as an upgrade to the limited capacity (2hr) OEM battery that came with my ASUS netbook, AND because of its low price. While it meets my expectations with regard to increased battery life (4-5 hours), it lacks the base pad supports which were on the smaller capacity OEM battery. The lack of base pads caused my computer to rock a bit when the view screen is laid back at a typical reclining angle (i.e., the typical viewing mode for a laptop). This was dealt with by applying a padded tack strip (a piece of door jamb insulation) to the bottom back of the battery to limit the rocking tendency.Also using this battery, a couple of times the computer has become locked while in "sleep" mode, resulting in the need to remove the battery to completely shut down the computer, then reinserting and restarting. In the 3-4 weeks I've had the battery, this has only happened twice, and I'm not sure it's the battery, but my machine is several years old and the OEM battery never caused this problem. (Upon later review, the locking problem seems to have not been serious--if it does lock up, I just plug in the power cord and it 'unlocks').All in all, I'm happy with the purchase, because of the price for the extra battery capacity, but buyers should be aware of these minor issues, which could be a deal-breaker for those who want a battery that seems like it is OEM after it's installed. This battery almost certainly an after-market battery--at least it will seem so after installation on a model #1005HAB machine.

Almost to the day one year after purchase it quit charging. When removed from power laptop shuts off in less than 20 seconds even though when unplugged it shows full charge which then instantly drops to nothing. Not the sellers fault but rather the manufacture that used cheap batteries, Even so they should have worked beyond a year. Would still buy from this dealer as they did not manufacture the battery and are trying to sell a product to compete.

The only issue that I had was that the battery that I received was 'WHITE', not Black as per the description. Since my netbook was Black it did look a little strange, but functioned very well. I contacted the seller to alert him to the discrepancy and he offerred to immediately send me out a replacement. However, I declined since the battery was and continues to perform very well and it makes my netbook a unique two-tone model. Seller is very responsive and product performs well.

Well we were having trouble with the battery staying charged, so, we ordered up a new one and fit just fine. We will be doing business in the near future. They are a good company, fast and reliable. I also bought a new electrical cord and I replaced the screen and now this little notebook is brand new and I rebuilt. This rebuilt was so easy to do and the pic is beautiful. My wife is now happy with her all new notebook. What can I say. She's happy and so am I.

I bought this battery for my Asus 1005 HAB netbook. This 6-cell battery is much stronger and longer lasting than the lame 3-cell from Asus. I can now surf unplugged for over 7.5 hrs before having to recharge or plug into ac adapter. It only takes about 2 hrs to fully recharge this lithium/ion battery back to a full charge. BTW this was also priced lower than batteries offered on fleabay! If you have a netbook that fits this battery, BUY IT !!!

OK at first. After 5 months of very light use it won't take a charge. Thankfully I kept the old battery that only lasts an hour or two on each charge. I would stay away from this product unless you are desperate.
