This is the first movie I ever saw at a drive-in theater. A bit over the top, but really funny. It arrived quickly.

I laughed my brains out
I watched this movie years ago on network TV and it was cut so badly I never got all the great humor this film had to offer. When you watch a raunchy teenage comedy as a kid it doesn't hold the same kind of weight until you become an adult and understand what they are talking about. That being said finally seeing this film uncut in all its glory I was laughing my head off. This film is hilarious from start to finish. I loved the way the film was shot. Each character has his or her own personality. The jokes are good and all the actors talk like teenagers do, none of this Disney Channel BS. All the actors look about 19 or 20 early college age but they are not so old to believe that they couldn't pass for teenagers. All the characters are likable and if you liked Animal House, American Graffiti, Book of Love, Breakfast Club or any of those other landmark teenage comedies than this film is for you. If you are ultra conservative and don't care for nudity in films or crude humor than this film is definitely not for you. The premise was interesting and several scenes will have you howling with laugher especially the Lassie scenes and the 2 coaches in the principles office.A friend of mine at work recommended this movie to me and I am really glad he did. I don't even know how the old network TV managed to show this film it was censored so badly for the regular TV version. If you haven't seen it for years or in a long time it is a great film to pop in and just enjoy. Bob Clark the director deserves a lot of praise this film was great. For 2020 being such a terrible year I am glad I found this film to give me just a little bit of cheer in this bleak time.I would rate it 5 stars, I was laughing in my sleep 2 days later just thinking about the gags. Bravo!!!!!!

The movie that made many girls afraid to take a shower at school!
PORKY'S is a Gut-busting comedy about youthful shenanigans in 1950s Florida that follows a group of hormone-driven high school buddies to a rowdy bar named Porky's and through one wacky experience after another. Surprise box office hit stars Roger Wilson, Kim Cattrall, Scott Colomby, Dan Monahan. This raunchy comedy flick that opened in theaters on Friday March 19, 1982 pertains to the escapades of teenagers at the fictional Angel Beach High School in Florida in 1954 concerning the efforts of a group of high school students intent on losing their virginity. The group consists of bad Boy Tommy Turner(Wyatt Knight), socially-awkward Edward "Pee Wee" Morris(Dan Monahan), star-athlete Anthony "Meat" Tuperello(Anthony Ganios), proud redneck Mickey Jarvis(Roger Wilson), and bigot Tim Cavanaugh(Cyril O'Reilly)who also plot a revenge against a bar owner Porky Wallace(Chuck Mitchell)for swindling them.A subplot of this movie concerns the boys' peeping on naked female students in the high school girls lockerroom through unused drainage openings showing us the 3B's(Breast, Bush, and Butt). Therefore, PORKY'S is also a movie about typical teenage boys and girls and what they deal with during their everyday lives in high school including peer pressures, adolescence, puberty, growing pains, hanky-panky, premarital sex, teens humping around, breaking numerous rules, spying on naked girls, teenage boys blossoming into Manhood while teenage girls are blossoming into Womanhood, etc.; and the movie that made a lot of girls afraid to take a shower in high school too, especially with this films graphic nudity. It was also interesting seeing Kim Cattrall in this crude comedy as the sexy P.E. Coach(Ms. Lynn "Lassie" Honeywell) before Kim became a superstar doing various movies and before she became a co-star on the show SEX & THE CITY, especially the scene where Coach Honeywell loses her virginity through a different kind of Physical Education when she gets banged by one of her fellow P.E. teacher Coach Roy Brackett(Boyd Gaines)in the boys lockerroom during PE class showing us a brief view of Kim Cattrall's sexy genitals was one of my favorite scenes in the movie, especially since Kim Cattrall is such a hottie like a bitch-in-heat who puts the word "Hornywell" into her characters last name along with the fact that was just about the only sex scene I can recall ever seing Kim Cattrall do throughout her entire showbiz career. This movie also takes me back to memory lane to when we had the recession going on back in 1981-1982 since Ronald Reagan was the President during this movie's theatrical release in the Spring of 1982.

The Original Teen Sex Comedy, and the best of them all!
I had the great pleasure of seeing Porky's in a late night showing on opening day in March 1982 in a theater packed to the gills with 18-25 year olds (although I was 30). I hurt for 3 days from laughing so hard. There is a portion of the movie, beginning close to the 1 hour mark that is the absolute funniest 14 minutes ever put on film. This includes these three hilarious scenes: Coach and Lassie in the boys locker room (Coach Brackett finds out why they call Miss Honeywell Lassie), then it segues to the guys peeping through the holes into the girls shower room, where Beulah Balbricker gets a 'handle' on Tommy's situation, immediately followed by the scene with Coach Brackett, Coach Warren and Head Coach Goodenough in Principal Carter's office with Beulah describing the "incriminating mole". There were people out of their seats, laying on the floor of the theater screaming with laughter. I have yet to see another motion picture invoke this kind of hilarity in a movie theater. I saw it in the theater 2 or 3 times in it's original theatrical run with the same response. When it became available, I bought the VHS copy, then the laser disc, followed by the DVD, and finally the Blu Ray. It's one of those movies I watch about once a year and still laugh out loud every time. The acting is great for a bunch of no-names, there are actually great multiple plot-lines (in addition to the typical "get laid at any cost" plot) and the cinematography, editing and sound is above average. They made this movie in 90 days for less than $4 million and it grossed $7 million opening weekend and has grossed over $100 million in theaters to date, most of that in 1982 dollars. The only thing I can say bad about Porky's is that they should have stopped after the first one. The sequels were awful.
