GED Test Prep 2019: 2 Practice Tests + Proven Strategies (Kaplan Test Prep)

It's a good study guide. I liked it because I didn't want the kids on the computer all the time. I wanted them to sit and work, focus and ask questions, as I was helping them get through it. Once they did most of the work off of the computer, there are more tests and videos for reinforcement that are on the site linked to their account so overall it was a great resource in my opinion, especially for the cost. If you are looking for a online experience , this isn't for you. The online part is minimal. but the videos are short and to the point good for the problems that they do go over. And, they relate to the problems in the book, but just some of them, the harder concepts. Also, there are solutions to all the problems in the book which is great! I cut off the back of the book where all the solutions are so they could only use them when they tried the problems themselves. Then, they could see what they did wrong and fix it. For a teaching situation, or a self motivated student, I think this is an excellent reference book to study from. I am a teacher, so the opinion you're getting is from that perspective. This book goes into great detail of each subject and really breaks down the math section and really goes into great detail on the rest of the subjects. I was looking for a book like this! It's very detailed and worth the money. I just hope that in the future they come out with another very detailed one that isn't the exact same as this one.

Pretty good book. Wish the Science section wasn't so short. Also, the free online test that comes with the book contained problems that weren't touched on in the book, which was weird. Still, pretty good.

I had been out of school since 2003. A series of unfortunate events led me to have to get my GED. I studied using this book for 4 months on my own time while working full time. I scheduled to take all 4 exams on the same day and wound up passing all of them at the "College Readiness" level or better. This book offers everything you need to pass. (Except the TI calculator. You will need to buy that separately).

This book had everything I needed to know for the test. Their online test setup is identical to the actual GED one. I passed all 4 tests first try and it took me about 3 weeks to study English, a month for math, 7 days social studies and 8 days science. Each time I finished a subject, I took the GED READY test online and then took the Kaplan practice test online. ( It will tell you how to access it when you get the book and register it online) Im also not a native English speaker so I had to translate a lot while studying. The book is simply fantastic!

As someone who has struggled with tests alot in the padt this book has helped me so much ! I havent taken the test yet but i feel more prepared than I was before. Very easy to study with this book
