DampRid Fresh Scent Drop-In Tab Moisture Absorber Starter Kit

Okay, so I gave this 5 stars cuz it works. It does what it is supposed to, pulls the moisture out of the air and keeps your house smelling really fresh which is great. Make sure to change the tabs every 30 days, actually clean the thing so you don't get a back up like mentioned in other reviews, I just run mine under the facet for a few minutes all good. Dry it off plop in the new tablet and then close the lid and put it back on the counter. HOWEVER there are some small issues, do not pick this thing up from the lid. Yes when it tips over the lid stays on but any kind of pressure and that lid comes flying off and spills this weird oily water like milky shit all over you and your wood floors and your walls. This stuff does not clean up easy, I still haven't figured out how to get it off my walls cuz the website says to use soap and water till it dissappears but I rent and the soap and water is taking the paint off the walls more then actually cleaning up this stuff. The worst part is the feeling of it on your skin and on your clothing. You try to wash it off and it stays there on your skin. I had to break out the Lava soap used for getting car grease off your hands to get it to go away. And as for my cloths it took 2 full wash cycles for it to come out and not have some weird residue left on them. So yes while it works amazingly, just be nice to it and hopefully it will not throw up its contents all over you and your home.

I seen a few awful reviews about these melting before just a few days of usage. I almost didn’t buy because of these negative reviews. However, I ended up buying it on a prayer that it would help. We are pushing month three with this product it’s certainly not melted, and it’s certainly effective. I will be purchasing this again, and probably now that I see the negative reviews are wrong most likely several more for the humidity in my home. My words of advise for people receiving this product and melting so forth seems to me you received a defective one & I would contact the seller because that’s not how they should work, and I’ve been VERY pleased with ours. The only negative say I have for it was the first few days it did have a strong odor while close to it but nothing intolerable. Will be purchasing more! Thank you

Worked well for under bath sink moisture & odor!

I have used damp rid products before but thought I'd try this to see if it's any better then the cups. First off. The smell is overwhelming. I've got it in my bedroom and with the door closed I can smell it in the hallway. Other then that it is actually working well. I've ran the dehumidifier on my portable ax unit for two days and it still felt muggy in my room. This arrived and has been in my room for over 24 hours and it has absorbed roughly 1/8" water into the holding tank. I feel like that's a good amount especially after running a dehumidifier. I can actually feel the difference in the are using this so I'm happy.

Works excellent on pulling moisture from small tight spaces. They are very easy to use, and takes out the musty smell and helps dry things up. It’s like a mini dehumidifier & works like a big one. Highly recommended

I'm leaving some pictures with this as it's so easy. I would suggest if you are getting for a basement to get a few starter packages. I started with 1 starter package for my bathroom to see how it works..It's now a couple of months later (3 or so) and no smelly bathroom, no mildew smell, no mold etc. It's easy to use and it does exactly what it says it does. The pictures show how to place the tablet in it. You don't put water in, you don't do anything else, you jsut drop the tablet in it and wait. It fills up with all of the mildew in the air and the dampness..I would advise putting a $1 store hand towel or towel down as I see some people left it there and didn't check it or forgot and it made a mess. So when Mine was done (and full with water and tablet was gone) I just dumped the water into the toilet, washed the base out and the place where the tablet goes and popped a refill tablet into it. My bathroom smells awesome (not much of a smell from the product but I'd prefer that over that damp musty smell any day!) This product works great so I gave it 5 stars. Again, if you are going to use it for a large area I'd get a few starter packs and then buy some refill tablets. That's all. Enjoy! '

It was a good thing I could use it in my storage area first, then threw away insert and used unscented. I now use in my closets with the unscented refills. This product is very strongly scented and there wasn't a complete kit in unscented. My whole apartment is unscented and the clothing in my storage area will need to be washed many times before I can use it. So actually this cost me a lot! It does remove excess dampness and water from the air where a dehumidifier can't be used or does work.

Works great! Put one in a closed storeroom, which had a very musty odor, and today 2 months later went in and the tablet was dissolved, there was water in the bottom and the musty smell was gone!
