In an attempt to get my daughter to stay in her own bed all night I was looking a solution. I came across this Tick Tock Turtle. While I was skeptical it has been a saving grace and has worked since the first night.! The time and set up is super easy to set up. There are multiple fun wake up songs to wake up to. The material that it is made of is super soft and it’s washable!! It stays put while in the bed. I put it right in the bed with my daughter either on her pillow or next to her. It is easy to press and turn on the night light if she wakes up during the night. The red light is actually helps them sleep so it won’t keep them up! My daughter loves her turtle and since it is chargeable we can take it when we travel. Though the charge says it will last up to four days, for us it usually last more like 3. We try to turn it off during the day to save some battery but it’s usually on around 12 hours from bedtime to morning but it charges quickly and still lasts a while. The actual turtle shell is cute learning tool to help your child learn to tell time as well! My daughter just turned four so we are trying to introduce the concept of time so this helps a lot! This also has a smart alarm that can sense you child’s movement for wake time. One thing I wish it had was some type of control through an app. Only because some days my daughter has needed some extra sleep or I wanted her to sleep a little longer then I had planned the night before in the morning and I have to sneak into her room to change the wake time. We have tried using the smart alarm but She sometime moves around so we will have to also revisit trying it! But other then that this has been the best thing for me and my family. I now cannot imagine life without our Tick Tock Turtle!

After years of searching for something to help our 10-year-old son with autism feel more secure about sleeping independently (and NOT in our bed) to wake at a scheduled time (NOT at 4 AM), we were so excited to stumble upon Tick Tock Turtle!The packaging was beautiful! Everything was well explained and organized. Our son loved Kai, as soon as he saw him, but the real test still laid ahead of us.Of course, we had our doubts about the effectiveness of Tick Tock Turtle, because nothing we had tried in the past had worked; we had tried standard alarm clocks, nightlights, special humidifiers, stuffed animals, lighted aquariums, oil diffusers, specialty bedding, and even a pillow with an MP3 player specifically designed to aide children with autism. Nothing worked! That is, until Tick Tock Turtle.I can’t tell you what a relief it is, to not have to keep telling our son, “It’s not time to wake up!” Now that his turtle is in our life, we lay it beside of him, and when it’s tapped, it will emit a soothing red glow. Within an hour of the alarm time, the turtle starts to imitate natural sunlight, to help make wake-up time easier. It also monitors movement, so it knows precisely when your child is ready to wake!Right now, the only recommendations I would make is to have a tamper-resistant cover over the settings.We are so thankful for this product, and we can’t wait to see what amazing products come from this company!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  My daughter was so excited to receive this for Christmas. It is very cute and she LOVES turtles. However, when the red night light is on, it makes a high-pitched whining sound. We thought that it wasn't a big deal; we could overlook it, since she doesn't really need a night light. However, she accidentally pressed the turtle in her sleep and the sound woke her up. She thought it was the alarm, so she shook it, to no avail. As a result, she came and woke me up to get it to stop. It was not a fun morning. She insisted on trying it again the next night to basically the same results. She doesn't want to keep it if she can't sleep with it, so it is going back.I took the attached video to demonstrate the whining sound. In doing so, I noticed that the clock actually makes that humming/whirring sound that you hear at the beginning and end of the video when it is idle.Great idea, poor execution.

This is waaay overpriced for what you actually get. Here are some of our thoughts about the clock’s functionality:It makes a strange buzzing sound when the night light turns on. Which defeats the purpose of quietly getting the child to fall back asleep!The shake to turn off the alarm doesn’t work that well. You have to shake with force. My three year old still hasn’t gotten a hang of it after two months of use.It’s not really an activity timer as they advertise it. You’ll have to reset the alarm time, and then we forget to reset it back to wake time, which then doesn’t end up functioning as a wake alarm. Wish it had a separate activity timer.Wish it held a charger longer and charged a little faster than it does.

We purchased this for our 4yr old son to start to learn to wake up on his own in the morning. This is a neat little alarm clock, and my son loves it. He sleeps right next to it on the bed and after a week we are having successful wake-ups in the morning with it. It's nice not having to be the one to burst in and be the bearer of bad news thats it's time to wake up. I feel the soothing selection of tones to wake him up help a lot with how he wakes up and the impact on his morning mood.

I bought this, and a Mella, to get my 4 year old to wake up for preschool. This so far is hands down far better. Pros: Easy to use, easily positionable, good options for wake alarms, and the alarm sounds are great! It shows where clock hands would be on an analog clock (minutes vs hours lights are not easily discernable). The shell is a big button that can be used to switch the night light on/off,. Off to sleep, on to go to the bathroom. Cons: Needs charging every few days. I haven't tried using it while plugged in.

My sister chose to try this product over others and she likes it a lot. She wishes it had a noise machine function or could be controlled by cell phone, but it's a relatively new product. It's very durable and my two and half year old nephew really enjoys it. We're all excited to see where the company/product goes in the future.
