I am happy with my purchase. It is an excellent choice.

We bought this pump for a fountain I received through a buy nothing group that didn’t come with a pump. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be sized appropriately for our needs. This fountain has a 21” rise and an opening at the top of 11/16”.We attached flexible tubing to the pump outlet and ran it to the top of the fountain. The pump was definitely powerful enough, to the point it was jetting out the top at least 6” above the top of the fountain. We dialed back the adjustment on the pump, which made no appreciable difference. So we cut back the tube, let there be a bit of a gap between the end of the tube and the top of the fountain, so there was some spill back. That solved our problem and the water has about a half inch rise as it comes out the top of the fountain now.The automatic shut-off has been handy. We’ve accidentally left it on overnight once or twice and I’m glad it can turn itself off to avoid damage.We purchased a remote switch to turn the fountain on and off from inside our home, which as worked wonderfully and been so convenient.We have a smaller version of this pump in another fountain that has lasted for years and we’ve been very happy with it.

I've had it in my patio pond for over a month and haven't had any issues with it. Quiet and runs good! Its slight overkill for my pond and I turned it down and it was still a little to powerful but I looked at the owners manual and it suggested if its still to powerful to put a valve on the tubing and to use that to restrict it to fine tune the flow. That helped me to fine tune everything to get the spitter to shoot exactly how far I wanted it to. I used it for a spitter and I used half inch tubing and I have it lifting the water about 16" high, at that height it was a little to powerful and was easily able to shoot the water stream about 4ft. I had a hard time trying to figure out what size pump I needed to get the desired flow, the valve idea helped me to get it to work exactly like I wanted. Plus the valve idea shouldn't hurt the pump since restricting the flow in this way is no worse than increasing the height that the water is being lifted which restricts the flow in the same way. I'm happy with the purchase though I could've done a better job to find the right size pump to begin with. The pump works great though.

Contacting Amazon for the warranty, they sent the manufacturers website to contact. Unfortunately, it was a company with the same name, different products and different website.We got the correct one and the ‘“right” company said we should contact the company we purchased it from for warranty claims. Contacting Amazon with that information, we got the same canned response to contact the “wrong” company AGAIN.

This was an excellent low-cost replacement for a failed pump in one of my fountains. The unit works exactly as described, and has enough adapters to make it flexible enough to work with a variety of fountains and configurations.After about 2 weeks the unit did stop... I took it apart and could find nothing inside the unit that would block the rotor from spinning. Eventually I took a small screwdriver and "flicked" the rotor while it was plugged in, and the motor started back up. Since that time, I've had no problems with shutting off and restarting the motor. I have no idea why the problem happened one time, mechanically it doesn't make sense. I removed one star for this problem... but the pump is still working great today

This pump was larger than the pump it replaced. It worked perfect for a large two foot high fountain it is used for. It has been in use for about two months with no problems. I expect this pump will last as it seems to be heavier duty build than the original pump which only lasted a year. I have used Little Giant pumps of various sizes for over thirty years and they have always been reliable when used and cared for as recommended.Update: 5-7-2014 I put the pump back in operation after another winter is over and it is still working like day one. A key factor in my opinion is to clean your pump screen if you see debris in the water or a reduced flow. It takes strain off the motor and it may last longer.

you cant go wrong getting a little giant..! the best fountain pumps on earth.. my old little giant ran every day 24/7 for around 20 years..!! winter & summer here in AZ then it quit ,so i bought about 5 different kinds of fountain pumps before i found this little giant , because not one of the other name brand pumps ever lasted for any amount of time, they all just died in a short time..? one didn't even last 30 days so i found this little giant and i expect it to be the same amazing dependable pump as my old one...!
