Goldwood Sound 100 Watts 8ohm Silk Dome Speaker Tweeter Black (GT-510)

I needed to replace a blown tweeter on my Alesis Monitor One speakers because one quit working. Because these are studio monitors you can't replace just one tweeter you must replace both. Alesis did not carry these anymore so I had to find a alternate. After a lot of searching, I found these. They had to be nearly exact because they needed to fit into the same recessed cut-outs (surface mount) as the originals. They did, but I still had to cut out new slots for the terminals to fit into the cabinet. In the end they worked perfectly and saved me from having to replace the monitors. Very pleased overall with these speakers.

For the pric ouf this unit, I didn’t have big hopes the speaker are outperformed it’s price tag

This item is a very inexpensive speaker, but sounds just fine in replacing my original tweeters in 40 year old BIC speakers. Not quite an exact match on the mounting holes, but close enough to make it work.I replaced the woofers as well, and have great clear sound again. I again have 3-way speakers at a much cheaper price than even buying used speakers.

I was amazed at the size of the magnet?I had too adjust the hole where it went.

Sounds good to big for the wattage

A couple of things. I ordered the 2 pack and installed them. They sounded great but one failed after less than a week. I ordered another one and when attempting to solder the conductors from the crossover, the positive tab melted off the case and fell to the floor. D'OH! Not sure what to do but I'll probably try another one. They really do sound good if you end up with 2 good ones.

Good replacement for other drivers that had failed.
