I do not recommend this trimmer. Cutter head is too narrow and the overall quality of the accessories and the trimmer are low. I bought Wahl from past experience, no longer the case. Look elsewhere. **Q: If the battery charge is low will the 5622 run if plugged in? Or does only the 5623 model work corded?** A: I have 5622 and if the battery is completely dead it will not function even if plugged in. Easy to use and i can’t believe how long of a charge will last i recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall not bad but doesn't cut close enough *by C***L on November 16, 2023* I replaced a broken 15 year old Wahl trimmer as it died for the last time. I like the quality of Wahl products and so purchased this as it seemed the closest to what I wanted. Many attachments, and way more than I'll ever use. It seems that it wants to be more than a trimmer and it fails as an overall clipper. Very budget oriented packaging which is fine with me. Pretty eco friendly. For me, this is a loser as a trimmer. I don't shave but 2-3 times a year. My old trimmer kept a 1 day stubble look well, but would 'nip' my neck occasionally. This does not cut with the same efficiency as the old one and not as close. More like 3 day stubble. With the trimmer attachments it doesn't cut as efficiently as my old one either. It was quick and easy to get my trimming done. This doesn't cut as 'aggressively' when trimming and takes 2-3 times as long to get the same work done. The transition from 1 day stubble to trimmed goatee, now looks more sloppy and shall we say I have 'blurred lines'. Less distinction between goatee and 'shaved' face. The nose trimmer works well. I used one 50 years ago and it pulled hair out. This does a nice 'clip job'. Not sure I'll continue using it as a pair of scissors has worked since I started to shave. Overall it's ok.
