Disappointed with quality
I'm sending this Clarks Wave Andes shoe back. I have purchased many Clarks shoes over the years, but this one is not comfortable. I have 2 pairs of Clark Wave Trek which are much more comfortable and they provide much better support. Unfortunately, they are no longer available in my size. It seems like Clarks is skimping on quality now, so I need to look elsewhere....like I've already done with sandals and slip-ons. Hate to say good-bye to what has been a trusted and favorite brand of mine for many years.

Very uncomfortable: toes started numbing
Like others, I was a big fan of the WaveTrek, but after a good long time, I needed to get a new pair. Like others, I was sad to find that my size was no longer available, so I looked to the Wave Andes. Like others, I found them very uncomfortable. I thought I'd have better luck than others replacing the stock soles with my orthotics, but no dice. With thick socks, most of my feet were not hurting, but after a half hour my left foot's toes started getting numb, and I also started developing aches in different places. With thin socks, there was too little cushioning, and I was in pain almost right away.I have to return these. It is a shame since I really like how they look, and they otherwise feel very sturdy and good quality. Width and length were also good as expected. Oh well.

Fair WARNING
If you loved the origninal WAVE by Clarks like I did, (I owned 4 consecutive pairs of them), you may be disappointed with these. I've been a loyal Clarks brand customer for at least 10 - 12 years. Clarks has always been the brand that worked for my problematic and difficult to fit feet...I could count on them fitting and being comfortable. I was eagerly looking forward to that same experience when I placed my order for this pair of shoes. However, the WIDE width seems narrower than usual and the tongue has been stitched down in such a way that makes the shoe tight over my arch. The length seems OK but the toe in this new style is less boxy and rounded (comes to more of a point) than in the old version, so, they seem a bit snug in the toes as well. I've only worn them a few days so far but they're stiff and tight...I'm hoping they'll break in and I'll once again find that old Clarks comfort I'm used to. Despite these issues, I've given them a 3 star rating because they are of the same high quality construction as all Clarks, they still have the removable insole for orthotics and it didn't seem fair to give a lower ranking since I've only worn the shoes a few days.

Cute, comfortable, low cut Wave shoes. Easy walking; lots of compliments!
I am enjoying these shoes! I've owned various styles of Clarks wave shoes and was so disappointed when I was no longer able to find them except in clunky sneaker-type styles. But these shoes are really nice! I've received several compliments on the overall look and low cut style. Very comfortable. The wave style makes walking so much easier and faster. The only complaint I have is that the shoe tongue for the right shoe is a tad longer than the left. It hits right where the foot and leg connect on the top side, thus causing a blister. Thankfully I was able to adjust the tongue enough to avoid further irritation. As to sizing, I am a true size 8. It fits perfectly. However, if I wanted to wear heavier socks for winter, I would need to upsize. These shoes are waterproof. I am not a big fan of boots, and so far these have worked well for winter snow - no cold or wet feet! But because they are what I consider medium light weight shoes (a big plus for me!), if you live in continually heavy snow areas and need deep sole grip, these are not meant for that kind of use.

Great pair of shows!
Great pair of shoes. Was going to buy these at a Clark's store in the mall, but they were cheaper on Amazon. If available, I try to buy shoes that are size Narrow, because I have very narrow feet. I have another pair of Clark's Wavewalk shows that are a size Narrow and fit me perfectly. Yet the body of the shoe was a bit more bulkier than these Andes Wavewalk shoes. I got this pair in size Medium, and they are plenty tight around my feet, in fat, a size Narrow in these shoes might have been too tight for me.They do take some time to break into however. Also, if I am wearing these shows more 4+ hours straight, my feet do start to hurt, so they may not be the best for someone who works an 8+ hour shift at a job, or something like that.

Absolutely no arch support and the foot bed is stiff ...
Absolutely no arch support and the foot bed is stiff and very uncomfortable. Couldn't walk a mile in these "fashion" sneakers. Cute style but no functionality for hikers/serious walkers or people who are on their feet all day and need support.

My Wife Love Them
My wife loves Clark shoes, and especially these walking shoes. She's a school teacher who has had two back operations and walks all day on concrete floors. For her, these do the job, they're comfortable, give support, and look good.

Poor quality of the toe box trim
I liked the style, color and fit of theses shoes very comfortable for work and they match a lot of my clothes. My main reason for 3 star rating is because after wearing them for 3 days the black trim on the toe box wore off...I have since taken a magic marker to fill it in to hide the wearing. I was not happy with the quality it looks like it was sprayed on not an actual material like previous when I’ve bought these shoes in the past. Usually these shoes will look new for at least 4 months, can’t believe it only took 3 days to wear off the toe trim.

Disappointing
Unfortunately these shoes did not fit well. They were very wide at the back of the shoe, and as they are walking shoes, this was no use. They also did not feel as comfortable as I expected, I expected a more padded sole. I'm an avid Clark's shoe buyer, so this was a great disappointment.

Not a comfortable shoe
I read some reviews that said this wasn’t a comfortable walking shoe but since I’ve always had good luck with Clarks , I decided to give it a go. I wore them around the house and they felt okay. I just got back from my first walk outside and have to say these are not comfortable at all on hard surfaces like sidewalks. The shoes are rock hard with absolutely no flex. They somehow squish my toes together when I walk even though there is plenty of room in the toe box. One shoe rubs a bit on the back of my heel. This is not what I expect from Clarks, I usually just put them on and go with no breaking in whatsoever. If you do decide to order them, they seem to be a small fit. All my other Clarks shoes are size 9 or 9.5. Since walking shoes quite often seem to fit small, I ordered a 10.5 figuring they might be a bit big but would be okay with thicker socks. These shoes just fit, no extra room at all. My foot is a AA, I ordered a Medium and, again, they just fit. Clarks’ quality certainly seems to have gone downhill. Since I’ve now worn them outside, I can’t return them and can only hope these expensive shoes break in. :(

Not as good as original pair....
My first pair of these shoes that I got several years ago (at a shoe store) were great. Comfortable and great to wear for long walks. This pair new pair do not fit as well and are actually bothering one heel. Just do not seem to be made as well and are not as comfortable.

Happy Feet
Having a foot problem,I need shoes that have a hard sole.I bought these in hopes that they would be my “go to” shoes for a trip that I am taking to the UK.I am extremely happy with them. They are very comfortable and firm, stand up to wet weather, and easy to put on.I like them so much that I bought another pair in navy.
