An inspiration it wasnt
Oh how much I would've loved to write a different review. Sadly I can't.Buying this book, I was praying for inspiration - and I found none. (I'm very sorry, authors! I know you worked very hard.)If you, reader, are looking for food porn book, it ain't it, sorry. The pics are blah.I wasn't looking for pretty pics, I just wanted amazing, fresh recipes. What I got was ok, although not anything particularly imaginative. Workable, maybe. If you can work it.I'm reviewing the book 6 months after I bought it, so I must've kept it for some reason. But with all the parties I have had over this time, you'd think I'd use at least one recipe or idea. Sadly, I haven't. I'm peering at the book now and wondering what I should do with it.Probably donate it to my local library. Hopefully, someone will find a good use for it.Good luck to the authors. As a fellow cook, I mean no disrespect. I know how hard you had to work to put the book out. Sorry it didn't work for me. Hopefully it will for someone else.

Gorgeous, Accessible, Interesting
I'm a crime fiction reviewer. I cook a few things, but the contents of this amazing volume are notsomething I can accurately review. I am a long time friend with one of the authors. However, Iam also an experienced photographer and I understand book design and style. The photographs in thisvolume are excellent, amazing in the way they evoke the dish. In cruder language, they and the recipes make me drool.The recipes are easy to follow and the language is engaging. The look and style of the book and its graphics areprecisely linked to the content. Not only is this a cookbook to savor, it is a coffee-table volume.you'll want to display it and the photographs and recipes will tempt you. Bon Appetite.Since writing the above lines, I want to state that we have tried a number of the dishes from this book. Yummy, without fail.

Unappetizing photography.
The biggest deciding factor for whether I buy a cookbook or not is the food photography. Sometimes, I will buy a cookbook simply because the photography is so beautiful, even if I have no intention of preparing any of the dishes shown. At the very least, if the photos don't make my mouth water, I probably won't be inspired to try a recipe. 'Amuse-bouches' are mentioned in a couple books about restaurants (including "Kitchen Confidential") that I read recently, and now that a friend of mine started working at a local French restaurant that serves them, I thought it would be fun to try making some of these tiny, "mouth-entertaining" dishes. But, for some reason, I didn't notice online that the photos were sort of grey looking. (Cookbooks, at least the ones with full-color photography, are one type of book that it is so much better to buy at a bookstore!) Anyway, the colors in the photos are so muted, in fact rather greyish and therefore rather unappetizing (to my eye). So, I will probably never prepare any of these recipes … unless I simply look at the ingredients and ignore the photos.

Amazing inspiration for chefs
My husband's a chef and he usually has to make amuse bouches for VIPs that visit his restaurant.This was a great gift for him to get inspired.Even if you're not in the culinary field, you can use this to get some ideas for small bites for reunions.

WE JUST LOVE THIS BOOK AND HAVE BOUGHT SEVERAL TO GIVE TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY, WHO HAVE EQUALLY FALLEN IN LOVE WITH NOT ONLY THE IMAGINATIVE RECEIPES, BUT THE DELECTABLE PHOTOS. Fantastique Amuse-Bouches!
This cookbook reads like an art book. The photos are art. The recipes are fun to make and clearly written. It's a great excuse to buy new serving dishes and entertain you friends!

Not worth the money paid for it
Print quality and paper used for the book let it down badly. Cannot believe Amazon would put their name on this product. At approx. £10 per coppy at little steep in price for quality of book print and photos. The recipes are ok I suppose. Not spectacular. I'm sure there will be better books out there on the subject, with a little more inspiration for us, the paying public.

Amuse Bouche Recipes - Great Start
Great introduction to creating amuse bouche dishes. I have tried many of the recipes, with great success and found the photos extremely helpful. Pity about some of the spelling errors, but didn't affect the enjoyment of the book.

Excellent Book
A book that inspires you to have a go.Well illustrated, a good range of recipes.Would recommend this book to friends.

Nothing New
I was not so amused with this book. Even though I am a person that like to try new things and adore small one bit food, it seems to lack that sort of unusual finish to each dish.Recipes need more yum to the palette.
