The description says "solid metal legs" which isn't true...the base and legs are plastic but bigger than the other tree and very sturdy. It was a snap to set up ( probably took all of 30 seconds) and really cute. I plan to buy others for Christmas exchange gifts for club parties. We have many members that are older and probably don't put up a tree anymore. this is so easy and doesn't take up much space, plus you can put it on a side table in an 8 foot high room if you want. If you do decorate, this can be put in a small place where you might not decorate. It fits back in the box with just a little effort to press it together. It's a win for me!
