Perfect fit for Ms Molly’s big ole Mule ears

I was looking for something with a little UV protection for a white skinned mule, and stumbled upon this product. Cashel is the ONLY company that I have found that offers an eared flymask with long nose and UV protection... at least without breaking the bank.My mule had pretty average sized ears, so this mask's ears were a *little* too long, but only by about an inch and a half, maybe 2 inches. Not nearly enough to bother my mule, once she was accustomed to something being *on* her ears. She found it easy to navigate the pasture in, and showed no hesitation when she walked, so I can only assume that it was easy for her to see through. The closure straps velcroed over themselves so that it would take two hands to undo them, which meant that she couldn't get it off on a post very easily. And the mesh of the mask was quite robust and held shape to keep the material off of her eyes very well.If you have a Long Ear that needs a little extra protection? You will NOT be disappointed with this flymask.

I have been using these Cashel fly masks on my donkeys for several years now. I usually get at least a year out of them. Normally, the silky ears get holes in them from branches, etc. This past fall I got a mammoth donkey and this draft size fits her very well. She is a blond donkey with somewhat sensitive skin so I got the long version of the fly mask to help give her a little bit more protection from the sun and flies. It would have been nice if the ears where an inch or two longer on this large mask, but it will do.I would certainly recommend these masks for other donkey owners.It would be nice if the amazon seller would do better on shipping when you purchase multiple masks. I know it is not costing them twice as much.**** update 6/4/15 ****I ended up dropping down one size to "warmblood" instead of "draft". The ears lengths seem going thru a metamorphosis right now. I got one mask with ears longer then 13" and also one with ears just 13". My donkey needs more then 13". There is inconsistency between the sizing chart ears size statements and the online sizing chart statements at cashel. Either way, these are still great at keeping the flies away from the sensitive areas of the eyes, nose and ears. I also have two standard donkeys and the 13" ears on their sizes are more then adequate.

This thing is awesome. It’s heavy duty yet see thru (yes I put it on 🤣) and the ears were plenty long enough for my 3 year old standard size mini donkey jenny. The problem was the Velcro strap under her chin didn’t fit. I’m talking I had to really work with it to touch 1/8 of an inch to get them to touch. If she undoes it overnight I’ll have to rig it up somehow to extend the strap. Her whole snout is exposed unlike in the picture, so I’m thinking maybe go a size up for a standard size mini. But honestly I’m so grateful to have this as it will get the job done and she can finally get some ear and eye relief from those gnats and flies. Thanks for making a great product to help my girl out!

Fit great and stays on, was worried that it would be to small but it fit her draft head. I wish it came in different colors.

I love these fly masks for my 2 donkeys. They have the run of my 3 acres that are heavy with brush and really are rough on these masks. We are able to get only 1 full season before replacing. If your animals are corraled, they will last much longer.
