27 Dresses (Widescreen Edition)

This is one of the greatest rom-coms, everybody should watch it at least a few times in their life! Very well done and entertaining movie.

One of my favorite movies! It will make you laugh and cry if you love rom coms.

Got boring

I purchased this to put in a gift basket as a prize at a bridal shower. I saw the movie a while back, but remember it being entertaining enough to gift, although it doesn't stand out in my mind as a great movie. Katherine Heigl is very entertaining. She pulls off an uber-organized yet altruistic friend very well. The premise is that she keeps getting asked to be a bridesmaid and takes on a lot of the wedding planning tasks for her friends, so she's constantly busy with friends' weddings. She's not particularly romantic and runs into a guy who is a definite cynic, who ends up with her planner/calendar when she leaves it somewhere. There are a lot of fun scenes in the movie. The cynicism is a little played up, but realistic and not a turn-off for a wedding movie. Especially because the ending is fun and finally dives into the romantic. The guest who ended up getting this prize at the bridal shower is herself super organized and not particularly into romance but has a sweet side, so it was a perfect match- I hope she watches it!

It's a girls' night at home movie. It's a movie for "The Gays" - ('cause hey - it has the gorgeous James Marsden in it!). Even better - it's a wonderful movie for Gay Boys to watch with their very best girl girlfriends! Hec - it's funny, it's heartwarming - it IS a downright amazing movie. My only complaint (or possibly a compliment to the director, Anne Fletcher) - I was almost 100% certain this was a Gary Marshall movie until I read the credits. You should be very proud of creating a movie that has stood the test of time, Anne! You have a new fan in me, love!!

I think this is such a great romcom show. Added to my collection to get a little laughter in my life.

Imagine looking into your hallway closet and twenty-seven dresses of all shapes, colors, sizes, and dates are all staring back at you. Basically, you must back into the door just to slam it shut anymore. Now, how much is that worth in money alone? Let alone time, giving, work, and energy. This is exactly what Jane (Katherine Heigl) does for others in her life as she devotes all of her inspiration - and whatever else could be expected - to all of these bride's magic moments. It is her own glory to assist and to take over the whole ceremony offering every bride her adoration in the most attached of ways. She holds in the highest regard the whole 'idea' of weddings while clipping the newspaper's highlighted romantic stories of the week's interesting turn of wedded bliss and collects them all. You could say Jane is obsessed with being obsessed and enraptured to be of service. Hmm, weddings, write-ups concerning them along with her boss, George (Edward Burns), and yes, she dreams of the day she... and George will hookup. This would truly be the icing on her own divinely layered wedding cake. Unbeknownst to Jane, the newly placed marriage column writer from the weekend's paper is also a blatant cynic of the nuptials he is writing about...or, is he really? Kevin (James Marsden) trips oh so politely through a couple's special day - word by word - as Jane drinks it all in with an over-the-top romantic straw. Especially during an intriguingly personal photo-shoot he must get done for a piece he has begun working on. When it comes to the wedding reporter's articles, Jane's collecting and dreaming over his writings of floral loveliness wisp her forward week after week - along with her abundantly jammed-up closet. She would never dream of saying 'No' to a bridal friend in need. Everything seems to be in place to keep Jane's life in order, that is until her delicious model sister, Tess (Malin Akerman), pops into her life unexpectedly and turns George's head around in matrimonial circles. While Jane questions the whole idea that may be in her sister's future, Kevin questions the 'whys' of taking other's Kodak moments instead of collecting one's own resulting in this comedic wedding farce starring Jane herself.

欧米の結婚式では必ず見られるブライドメイド、花嫁の介添えの女性たちの 個性的なドレスが映画を盛り上げてくれます。結構笑えるドレスも。 ストーリーも感情移入できるし、途中の主人公と彼がバーで歌って踊るシーンも 楽しい。この俳優さん、いろいろな映画で歌っています。 ハッピーエンドで、結婚セレモニーを堪能できる、誰でも楽しめる一作です。

Good movie and good quality picture

Natürlich soll Jane auch dieses Ereignis in eine traumhafte Märchenhochzeit verwandeln. Zwischen Brautkleidanproben und Menüarrangements macht sie tapfer gute Miene zum frustrierenden Spiel. Als dann jedoch Hochzeitskolumnist Kevin in ihr Leben platzt, sind die Turbulenzen nicht mehr aufzuhalten … Inhalt Jane liebt Hochzeiten über alles. Es bereitet ihr nichts mehr Freude, als einer Freundin vor und an dem wichtigsten Tag ihres Lebens beizustehen. Sie plant die Hochzeiten von A bis Z. Sogar zwei Hochzeiten an einem Tag und genau an diesem Tag fällt sie Kevin Doyle, einem sehr bekannten Hochzeitsplaner, auf, wie sie von einer Hochzeit zur anderen hetzt. Jane arbeitet neben her als Sekretärin. Sie hat sich unsterblich in ihren Chef George verliebt. Dieser ahnt jedoch nichts von ihren Gefühlen. Als ihre Schwester aus Italien zu „Besuch“ kommt, lernt diese auf einer Party Janes Chef kennen. Die beiden fühlen sich sofort zueinander hingezogen. Als Tess und George heiraten wollen, ist es natürlich klar, dass Jane diese Hochzeit ausrichten soll. Zähneknirschend tut sie dies auch mehr oder weniger. Als sie Kevin Doyle wieder sieht, der unter einem Pseudonym Hochzeitsartikel veröffentlicht, ist sie erst einmal geschockt. Daraufhin geht alles Schlag auf Schlag. Bis schließlich am Ende die große Bombe platzt und alles droht auseinander zu brechen. „27 Dresses“ ist ein wirklich toller Film, der unglaublich Spaß macht. Es gibt so viele Szenen die einen einfach zum Lachen bringen, allerdings musste ich auch stellenweiße wirklich die Tränen verdrücken. Der Film ist weder langweilig, noch ausgelutscht, ganz im Gegenteil. Er hat mich echt auf die Folter gespannt und ich war mir zwar mit dem Ende ziemlich schnell ziemlich sicher trotzdem war die Geschichte um das Ende herum einfach nur toll aufgebaut, superspannend und sehr schön erzählt. Was mich wirklich extrem aufgeregt hat, war Tess. Darüber hätte ich mich stundenlang aufregen könnte, allerdings trübt das nichts an meiner Begeisterung für den Film. Wertung (5/5)
