‎St. Croix Rods Legend Glass Casting Rod, Strong, Sensitive, & Dynamic, High Performing Fishing Rod

St. Croix has a well deserved reputation for building excellent fishing rods especially in their premium models. Their Legend Glass models are certainly not going to damage that reputation. I've been lucky enough to land 3 different models (Have a kind wife!). Ceramic line guides, reel mount, handles are top notch material and design. These rods are designed specifically for crankbaits and mine are equipped with low to moderate gear ratio reels. They're light and very sensitive (especially for fiberglass). I fish crankbaits, rattlebaits and spinnerbaits on mine. Never touch a graphite rod for any of these lures except a chatterbait anymore. And once you hook a fish on a fiberglass rod my experience is you'll stand a better chance of keeping them hooked all the way into the boat and maybe have a little more fun doing it. Give this rod my highest recommendation.

St Croix hit it out of park with these!I bought this for fishing lipless crank baits, and after casting a few all I can say is, "WOW!" It sailed 3/4oz crank baits easily 50plus yards. As I hopped the baits back, I could feel the vibration of the lure as well as bottom through the 15lb flourocarbon line i was using. It is REALLY light for a glass rod. You can tell too that it has alot of power. It's the Lamborghini of glass crank bait rods. Super happy with it.

My husband favorite rods are St. Croix, he was very surprise to receive.

I bought the 7'11" heavy specifically for throwing big oversized deep diving crankbaits. I used the rod for 3 trips and threw crankbaits all the way up to 1.5ozs (berkley dredger 25.5) but for some reason while throwing a river 2 sea tactical dd crankbait the rod shattered long ways along the blank right above the first guide from the butt seat. Im not sure if i got a defective rod or what happened but i returned it and am buying a medium heavy and will just use it for smaller cranks. I own a lamiglass sr705r the best glass rod ever made and consider myself a crankbait throwing fool and even tho the rod broke im still giving it a 9 out of 10. The feel of the rod is super sensitive and is very similar to my lamiglass. If your looking for a high end glass rod these bad boys are great just make sure to not push the weight ratings to much.

As usual, St. Croix makes a superior fishing rod. I was ecstatic when they came out with these fiberglass rods. They are a little softer than most graphite rods and have a nice feel when retrieving crank baits. In addition, with the extra flex of the rod, it is easier to cast lighter baits. Lastly, they are very forgiving for that moment when you hook a big fish at boat side. I love this rod.

Great rod for squarebills and under 12 feet crankbaits. Lots of backbone but soft enough tip to keep you from most hang ups. The shorter rods makes for more accurate casts but still awesome for long fan casts. Great rod, worth the money.
