## Overview

The MXR Mini Iso-Brick is a compact, fully isolated power supply designed for guitar effects pedals. It features five outputs—four 9V outputs delivering 300mA each, plus one toggleable 9V/18V output with 800mA—providing versatile power for analog and digital pedals alike. Its included splitter cable allows daisy-chaining pedals on a single output, while LED indicators and a rugged stainless steel enclosure ensure reliable, noise-free performance for professional gigging musicians.

## Description

The Mini Iso-Brick Power Supply supplies quiet, noise-free DC power to wide range of pedal types while taking up less space than a candy bar. Whether you need a space-saving solution for your downsized travel board or you just need to power a small, carefully curated selection of tried-and-true staples, this little box has what you need. First, let’s talk outputs. The Mini Iso-Brick Power Supply has five, and each is fully isolated to eliminate obnoxious, gig-ending ground loop noise. Four of the outputs supply 9 volts of power at 300mA, while a fifth can be set to provide either 9 volts or 18 volts at 800mA depending on your needs. With a generous amount of current on tap and the ability to handle both negative and positive grounds, these outputs will accommodate almost any pedal, analog or digital. And don’t let the five outputs restrict you—if you need to add an extra pedal, the Mini Iso-Brick Power Supply has you covered. It comes with a splitter cable that can be used to connect two pedals to a single output, provided they require the same voltage and you don’t exceed the output’s current rating. You can do this with all of the outputs simultaneously—just purchase the extra cables to do so. Finally, troubleshooting can be a hassle on dark stages, so the Mini Iso-Brick Power Supply comes equipped with LEDs to let you know that all your connections are solid. Combine that with a lightweight housing that's built like a tank, and you can step on stage with confidence that your pedalboard will stay powered from gig to gig.

Review: Quality and Clean - Build quality is amazing as always. Design is clean and functional. The 18v power supply is pretty chunky in size so be prepared to make room for it. Great product overall.
Review: The only way to beat this MXR Mini ISO is to spend 250% more! - For the power that it offers and its size and construction you cannot spend your money any better than this. And if you can find it on sale, even better. Because of the 9 V outlets 350 mA power reserves along with the 18 V having 800 mA of power, you have all the power you need! In my case, I have three 18 V pedals two of which needed 300 mA each, with the other requiring 100 mA. It runs them flawlessly and quietly using a 3 way power cable. That cable, I had to buy separately. It comes with most of the cables you need, including a splitter to run two pedals from a single outlet. Because of the 350 mA of power coming from a single 9 V outlet, you can even daisy chain pedals together from a single outlet as long as you calculate the number of milliamps your pedals need. I only daisy chain my analog pedals. The digital ones I tend to isolate. The only other power supply, I would even consider, is the Cioks DC7. Check it out if you need other voltages. Each power outlet can be configured for four different voltages, and it has tons of reserve power. However, it costs over twice as much as the MXR, but you will not be disappointed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where can I purchase additional splitter cables?**
A: Sweetwater. Never looked at Amazon because I bundled with a bunch of other things I needed and Amazons instrument prices are a little ridiculous. Some cables are twice the price you can get them for at Sweetwater.

**Q: Can you daisy chain it to the 18v output of the mxr full size brick?**
A: HI
No you wouldn't be able to as the ISO Brick doesn't provide enough current to power another brick

**Q: Where can one find additional splitter cables for purchase after point of sale?**
A: Unfortunately these aren't available for individual purchase at the moment. We hope to add this to our line soon.

**Q: Will this power my 12V 500ma pedal safely?**
A: As far as I know, it'll either under power it (on the 9v setting) or blow it (on the 18v setting). Best look for one that specifically does 12v

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dependable Power, Clear Sound, and NO HUM! :)
*by D***N on January 5, 2020*

I love the MXR Brick! I am a guitar effects hobbyist who also has fun TRYING to play ukulele, lap dulcimer, and even digital piano ; plus, I enjoy listening to recorded music. For quite some time over the past few years, I had been irritated by a nagging hum and distortion throughout the entire amp system. Quite by accident, I discovered that the entry-level, daisy-chain 110-volt adapter for my guitar effects pedals was causing much of the problem. Often the hum was loud enough to drown out or distort the music Well, this year, upon receiving some Christmas money, I added some of my own and ordered an MXR "DC Brick" Power Supply, Model 237. In an instant. the hum disappeared, and the advanced clarity of my monitor speakers returned. Even my lousy guitar playing sounded better! // This outstanding MXR power supply -- with its reasonable price; compact, solid-state build; and multiple 9V and 18 V power outlets -- was the perfect answer to my noisy, grounding/feedback hum problem. It may be yours, too!
