Hunting isn't their hobby. It's their calling. It's all they were made to do. In sixty years, they've never lost focus. They've never followed anything but their instincts. They've never let up. They still live for the chase, pursuing innovation from dusk to dawn. They're in the fields, the blinds and the stands, long after the fair-weather crowd heads inside. They do all of this to build incredible hunting boots, because at Irish Setter, the hunt never ends.

When you need more support
I loved my Irish Setter boots. I have used the Irish Setter Shadow Trek boots for a number of years. But my broken ankle and arthritis is getting worse and I am going into rougher terrain. The loose rocks were causing my ankles to turn almost every trip. I tried some other hiking boots but they didn't support me as well as I hoped they would. So I went with these Deer Trackers. They are a bit heavier than the Shadow Treks but the extra support is great. Better than the hiking boots I tried. They are lighter than the hiking boots. They offer a lot of support in the ankle area. The footbed is solid and very stable. Don't let the nylon fool you. The boot is reinforced with leather in the heel and ankle area and the laces allow you to vary the amount of support. All in all these are great hunting boots that should last several years.

Excellent product. I have several pair Irish Setter boots ...
Excellent product. I have several pair Irish Setter boots so from experience ordered a size smaller as they run larger (likely to account for thicker socks) so I wear typically 9.5 in running shoes so ordered 8.5. Fit was excellent. Wore boots about 6 hours first day, a little stiff and need more wear to break in, but these are very well made and put together boots that I wouldn't hesitate to wear in mud, water, or snow. Highly recommend!

I hate that these boots are made in China
I hate that these boots are made in China. . . but I'm really impressed with them. Just spent 10 days hiking across ridges, draws, and valleys in Montana for miles on ground that was never flat. Light, good grip, comfortable. The only criticism is they don't breathe at all, but they are waterproof so there is that. They also look good if you where them with jeans to a bar for example I am happy with the money spent and value from them.

True to size, don't go larger.
The other reviews on here say to buy a size larger. I don't recommend doing that. I got a size larger for my husband following the reviews and they are giant! I should have bought his original size. My dad happened to be over and they fit him perfectly. I checked and the price went up $70!! And I would have to pay the difference to get the correct size so my dad gave me what I paid for them and left wearing my husband's birthday present. Hah had I got a 10.5 like my husband wears rarher than an 11.5 like the reviews suggested my husband would be walking pretty. Should have gone with my gut.

They fall apart
I do like the boots, very comfortable i have only had them for 1 month, used them 3 or 4 times and the lower sides on both boots are coming apart.

I do love the boots
Bought the wide edition - not really any wider than the regular fit shoes in my experience. Can only imagine how narrow the regular ones are. Either way, I do love the boots. Great for hiking through wet grass. Kept my feet completely dry on a number of hour+ hikes. If you don't have wide feet I would definitely recommend them!

Nice boot but a litte tight.
The only issue at first was that the boot was tight. I ordered a half size larger based on the reviews I read. Still tight. With that being said, I was looking for a boot with good ankle support so I am not really that disappointed with the snug fit. I will wear these with a regular pair of cotton socks.
