Invasion Of The Body Snatchers

I purchased this edition of Invasion of the Body Snatchers in the belief that this was the special edition put out by Olive Films that included special added material: "Olive Films subsequently released a special edition Blu-ray in 2018, containing extensive bonus features including several featurettes, two Audio Commentaries, one with film historian Richard Harland Smith and a second with actors Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter, and filmmaker Joe Dante, and a 1985 archival interview with actor Kevin McCarthy." Now that I play the disc there is no added material. I double checked and yes this is from Olive Films. I went back to the listing in Amazon and there is only a single sentence under the description whereas before the special features were listed. I don't know what the deal so I am going to return this for credit. you can purchase a blu-ray version for $19 that is probably just as good as this Olive Films offering - there is nothing special about this pressing visually. I think the streaming version is as good as this. Disappointed Big Time.

Good remake.

This movied played half-way then froze. You couldn't move past the area where it froze. It was tried on two different players with the same result so it was returned .

This remains a supremely creepy film and, from my perspective, the definitive version of the Body Snatchers. The ending is a classic example of down-beat 70s film-making!

Great sci-fi movie with this scary subject of paranoia.Lots of athmosphere,great special effects and outstanding acting from Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Leonard Nimoy and Jeff Goldblum.
