Safer to chew on than a cardboard box. 9-month-old seems happy.
My son is only 9 months old, but I bought this anyway. I haven't looked at the suggested activities, but we have "played" with it a few times. He chooses it from among other toys (sometimes) and it has filled the role of various items:- a mask / helmet. He thinks this is great fun. Have not tested his reaction to a real mask.- a drum. To be fair, he will pound on and slap at anything, including the floor and my face.- a spinner. I spin the Bilibo with him in it and other times I put toys in and spin it so they roll around. When he is spinning, he's unsure what to make of it but usually giggles after a few turns. He has never pinched his fingers. Spinning toys in it usually gets his interest; he will take the ball or whatever out and put it in his mouth. Spinning is where the Bilibo shines, since we don't have another toy that does this.- a cave for his toys: he likes to find the toys hidden underneath. It helps that he can still see them through the 2 holes. It's better than a blanket for this purpose because it's easy to lift and the toys don't get tangled up.- a chew toy: he chews on the edge of the Bilibo. It's safer than a cardboard box. He has, in the past, chewed cardboard, and it's a choking hazard. So, the non-toxic Bilibo makes for a much better chew toy than a box. That said, obviously there are thousands of things that babies can chew on safely besides the Bilibo, and toddlers probably don't bite everything like a teething baby does.- a cat bed. Yeah.Like everyone has said, yes, it *IS* a weirdly shaped mixing bowl that costs twenty bucks. However, if you were trying to save space, this is a good multi-purpose toy. We've already found a few uses for it, and I imagine we'll find more as he learns to play in new and different ways (although his toy collection is pretty huge and therefore the Bilibo is most likely redundant). At $21 it wasn't really worth the time to try to find one used. $30 (the Target price) seems a bit much though.-- EDITED TO ADDMy son is now 6 years old and has a sibling, 4 years old. We now have 2 Bilibos in the house. They use them as "stepping stones", balancing surfaces for practicing yoga poses, they sit in them and spin, or have "scooting" races across the rug. Sometimes they just sit on them like chairs. The Bilibos stack and can be used to carry or hold toys, and the kids really enjoy them. The holes make them easy to carry. For durability and versatility, these were a good buy.-- Edited to add:My kids are now 8 and 6. They still use the Bilibos, mainly for seeing who can balance the longest, freeform spinning, or scoot races. Sometimes they pretend they are turtles with them. This toy has occasionally been incorporated into Lego builds or doll buildings. I can definitely vouch for the Bilibo's durability; no cracks have formed from having weight on them, and no rough sections from friction.

Great for older children
Update: My boys both had growth spurts, which now allows them to properly balance while spinning. They love it! (They loved it before. Something about the yellow and plastic. They just liked having it around. I love it, because it's an easy activity to clean up!)______________I got this for my very tall 3 year old for his birthday. It is currently being used to hold his toys. Keep reading, there's a plus side you might be interested in.I bought this toy because my boys already love to spin around on their bottoms on the floor, and thought this would make help enhance that experience for them, but as I watched them try to spin, I could clearly see that their weight distribution wasn't quite where it needed to be for some solid, fun spinning. In essence, they were completely unsuccessful.Despite failed spinning for my boys, I still has faith in the toy, and decided to try it out for myself. Yes, it was a snug, but I proceeded to spin around long enough to give it a good test. It worked perfectly for me, and was actually fun. *I think my boys are going to have a blast on it when they are a bit taller. My 5 year old isn't quite big enough for it yet, either, but he is pretty thin.I was aware that the toy being used as a toy holder could be a likely possibility, so found an alternate activity on day one that my boys LOVE, which is to fill the toy with a bunch of smaller toys, and then spin it very quickly until all of the this fly out. Not my favorite for clean up, but it sure is fun to watch how delighted they are to watch their small (non-heavy or sharp) toys being strewn everywhere.Ysing it for a toy holder sounded so bad when I was reading reviews, but I honestly love it as a toy holder! It does an excellent job of holding this, and us easy to carry around.

You need these more than you know, seriously.
We originally bought two of these for our first two. When the third came along we knew we would be getting a third. (He's now two. The brothers are 4 & 7.) Bilibos are incredibly awesome. They're overpriced as anything, but they're rock solid (even for an adult to jump on), they slide and spin great, and they function much less like specific toys in our house so much as a spacious, colorful bowl of fun. They're chairs, crazy masks, step stools, toy haulers, caves to adventure in, train tunnels, cleanup buckets, and more. Trust me, you and your kiddos will all end up using your Bilibos far more often than you would expect for far more things than you could ever predict. Yes, they're pricey, but you won't ever regret the purchase for one moment. All three kiddos play with them and I don't foresee that changing for many years to come. I also don't expect any of them to ever wear out. Our first two are ~4 years old now and aside from some minor cosmetic scuffing they're still in exactly the same condition we got them in, despite having been used in the snow (both for sledding, which worked poorly, and for hauling snow for snowmen and snowballs, which worked perfect), in the grass (for dragging like a wagon), on the tile (spinning and sliding), and on carpet (for yet more spinning and sliding).

Great product!
Toddlers find so many uses for these! From spinning themselves to packing toys around in them! I do not regret this purchase!

fun, inspirational, pretend,
This thing... is hard to wrap, because I didn't have enough to wrap it. My daughter was like, "I know what that it, I've seen one." Nuts, you probably got me. "No, its.. a helmet. NO, DON'T SIT ON IT! You could break it!" So just so theres a question in her mind, maybe she will break it? Well she didn't, because she was right. Not the most exciting thing to open but she was still happy and since getting this just a few days ago I've seen her playing with this thing a few times already and my son at least once and he never gets off the computer! So, good on this thing and no, its no new xbox or whatever, but you'll get more out of this than you ever will with those. Take that to the grave.

Livraison!
Je trouve fort désagréable d'avoir une livraison aussi chère que le produit! Même si un effort de réduction à été faite, elle reste cependant excessive. A ce titre, je ne recommande pas un achat chez eux

Don't see the value
I had heard great reviews of the Bilibo for it's open-ended play abilities. I bought for my daughter for Christmas, and in the month since it's barely been touched. I've tried to encourage different activities with it but no dice. It may be something she will grow into, but as of right now I wouldn't purchase again.
