Peace of mind, not so much
I put up a review previously after having the generator for a short time. After more time I want to resubmit my review. The generator works fine when it starts but that is where the problems begin. I have gone to start the generator at the suggested 30 day time frame to ensure the generator is properly maintained. The battery will not maintain a charge. I have talked to customer service many times and followed their suggestions to a T. Charge for 2 days then check a week later to verify the battery is charged. At that time the battery does not have enough enough charge to start the generator. I have been shipped a replacement battery and charger and that did not solve the issue. I have tried to get a warranty provider without success. Either no longer in business or will not do warranty work due to issues with timely reimbursement for services provided. At this time I have found a person that says he will do the work needed but have yet to see the results so I might be revising my review at a later time.

Cold weather starting is terrible.
Battery issue from start. Difficulty starting using automatic feature in very cold. Terrible delivery didn’t follow instructions and didn’t follow promised delivery schedule. Dumped on front lawn despite despite request not to. Pointless buying online. Go to dealer and eliminate intermediary despite “value” especially if you might need service.

Well built, heavy duty
Really well built. Arrived undamaged. Assembly was minor, handle, wheels, hookup the battery, put oil (supplied) and gas in. Started right up. I am going to use as a backup in my smaller home. I have the 240 volt plug on a 30 amp, 240 volt breaker with lockout. EFI (electronic fuel injection) is the main reason I chose this one.

Buy your equipment from an authorized dealer!
Left on my driveway by delivery driver. Looked like they rolled it all the way! Unit amazingly unaffected cosmetically. Would not start. Took to authorized Generac service center. Been 2 weeks now, still no generator! They say Generac does not return their call. Meanwhile I’m out a $1400 gen set and my new house is not being built!

Overall, I am happy with this generator
I didn't buy this from Amazon because I needed it like now! Just bought this generator yesterday. The power extension cord that it came with vibrated out twice last night. For what we paid for this that shouldn't have happened. I bought a new cord today and it seems to be working fine, time will tell. Generator is a work horse. I have three large freezers and two refrigerators plug in and a few other items and amps to spare.

This is the one you want
Excellent generator that will not let you down when you need it the most. We live in coastal Carolina and lose power...all the time. As diligently as I care for my carburetor generators, they still manage to fail from ethanol fuel. This generator will not fail from this issue.Electric start makes it easy. Unit does not vibrate like the carburetor version so I don't have to tie it down while running. More fuel efficient than the carb model which is huge, we loose power for weeks after a hurricane and fuel is scarce. Made in America in Wisconsin, home of some of the most reliable engine manufactures in the world. Highly recommended from someone who has extensive experience using generators

keep the battery charged and ready to go
we did not get this from amazon but just wanted to give a review on it Bought this around April 2019 for back up power to our home, had a electrician wire the transfer switch to our electric panel. Then twice a month I would run the unit to make sure battery will stay charged. Six months later my wife woke me to say our power is out in the house. I looked out side and saw the whole neighbor hood was out of power. So I put my smile on to go out and start the generator and flip switches downstairs on the transfer switch and wallah! we had power. Did a quick check out the windows and saw we where the only home with furnace and lights on.Still keeping in Eye on the hour meter because have not reach the hours to change first oil break in time.
