Pick me up clean.
Yes, five star rating that is some very very nice wick. Just like it's advertised it sticks a little bit every once in a blue moon but that's because of the operator. I will be back. Jim

Works when a solder sucker has problems
I've been using a solder sucker for over 50 years and always thought that this type of solder wick was too expensive. However, I was having problems replacing one particular part and so I bought this solder wick. It works very much better than I ever expected. I'm going to keep it in my repair kit, and replace it when necessary. Solder sucker if good for some things and lasts forever, but this wick does things that don't seem possible with just the sucker.

works well but only if soldering iron is placed on the opposite side of the pub
I have not had much luck with wicks like this until I saw a video in which the soldering iron was placed on the opposite side of the board. In my (admittedly non professional) experience placing a hot iron on top of the wick seems to prevent the wicking action. That said, using it like I have mentioned seems to work quite well. To do this you need some sort of vise or clamp to hold the pcb vertically. The product is really nothing more than finely braided wire that works by capillary action to suck up the solder. I have had better results with this than with the cheap manual suction devices that come with many soldering stations.

Got the job done.
Haven't used solder wick in years. I needed to replace audio output ICs in a car radio. It was a slow process. I remember solder wick working great but this wick acted like it didn't have enough flux in it. I used to work full time in electronics repair. The last time I bought good solder wick it was $1.00 for 10 ft of great solder wick. Shows how long ago it has been. Gives away my age also. Thank you!

Great solder wick!!!
I use a wick at work that doesn't draw any solder to it. This one is awesome! I had to order more because there's nothing worse than not being able to get that excess solder out of tiny holes. I love this product!

This works as well as my 40 year-old version with rosin flux
Works great. Just as good as the old rosin flux kind.
