Warships (Pull Ahead Books ― Mighty Movers)

In looking for books that excited my son - so he wanted to work on reading and writing book reports - I found this book (as well as the Tanks and Fighter Planes books) to be a perfect fit. He is excited to read them out-loud with me, and the books are structured in an effective and simple manner which is perfect for helping young children think through how to write book reports.Also, the books stray from more serious aspects of military weaponry (e.g. casualties or the introduction of the concept of other people being "enemies.") so I have not had the "violence fixation" problems I find with TV shows and vide-games so many kids watch.

It's perfect for my son; it even has two of the ships that my husband served on! It has great pictures and is easy to read.

A tiny paperback, but one that my grandson (age 6) can read himself! Just right!

My six-year-old son loves this book. The author wrote interesting information with simple language and supportive photos. The vocabulary words are not overwhelming and the context clues make them easier to decode. I bought the other military books in the series.

These were perfect for our 5 year old son. He loves everything war ship related and asks to read this at least 3 times/week at bedtime.

wayyyyy overpriced for what it is... 15 pages of pictures in tiny print on a book that's 6"... the pics make it look like hardcover but it's not. would not recommend for the price.

Great picture book for my 5 year old grandson. Great series of books by author. I do read for him but he loves the pictures
