If you're a therapist by this book
I'm a child therapist and thought I knew something about body dysmorphia. This book took my understanding from understanding from about a 3 to a 9 out of 10. Since reading this book I have discovered and diagnosed aspects of my clients internal dialogues that I never ever would have thought to explore if I had not read this book.

Just finished it!
This book was great! I suggest reading it through, but then re-reading the chapters that are "work". You have some homework in this book which is great to help you get through your body image issues, however, the con I really saw in this book was Sabine's way of labeling you. She teaches you how to move away from that yourself, but she mentions Body Dismorphic Disorder so many times and kind of pushes it on you to make you feel you too have it. Even though yoyu may or may not, it doesn't make you feel any better. I wish she never labeled you with a problem, rather just stated that you struggle with your image. I think she could be a little less clinical, but the book was well written and could be tremendously helpful. Read, then go back.

I'm Impressed!
I just started this book and I haven't completed it yet, I'm extremely impressed already. This book is a powerful resource. It is well written and it works! It was written for us folks with small/large body image dilemmas (mostly non-eating disorders). It can be used as a self help resource or in conjunction with therapy. It can even be given to your therapist as a resource for them to help you. I struggle with acne scars and I am relieved to find the first pages (and subsequent pages) directly address this issue. This book gives hope and help. I can't say enough positive about this book. It is life-changing.God bless the author

My personal feeling...
I, personally, did not find this book very useful. Perhaps I don't like self- help books.
