Could I use this to test a drink to see if there is alcohol in it?

No. A hydrometer is used to compare the density of a brew before and after fermentation; the conversion of sugar to alcohol can then be calculated. It has no capacity to detect alcohol directly.

Descripción no del todo correcta

El hidrómetro está excelente y llegó sin problema alguno. No estoy conforme con el tubo de ensayo que viene acompañándolo, ya que lo anuncian como transparente y realmente no lo es. Es de un plástico semi-transparente un tanto blanquisco que dificulta mucho la lectura correcta del hidrómetro y por lo tanto no es del todo adecuado. Le hubiera dado 5 estrellas si este detalle no estuviera mal y efectivamente viniera el tubo de ensayo completamente transparente como está anunciado.
