Eventually my will power will fail so I drill above the catch on one side and use a screwdriver to remove the plastic so I can open the lid. Then I rotate the lid 90 degrees and continue to use it. I've got through so many of these over the years.

I was skeptical of the claims that this would fit an ipad, but i did the math and figured it should fit. i was not disappointed! it fits my ipad air 5th gen perfectly.now i can lock my electronics away when i am working from home for maximum focus. very thankful for this XL container.

I'm a big fan of this product, if you have something you want to walk away and reduce the pressure on your own willpower it's definitely helpful. If you're in a situation where you're going to try to take a hammer to it to get to whatever is inside I recommend getting a steel lock box to solve your problems. This is not impenetrable by any means, it's easy enough to break into but it does mean actually breaking it to get into it. If that is not enough to dissuade you, then you probably need something heavier duty.

they say they sell these are for food, but im guessing most people use them for pharmaceuticals. in which case, they would really be doing the community a service by selling an aluminum receptical that is less prone to being broken with a hammer to get to the goodies inside. GREAT concept though and i love it.

I have 3 of these in different sizes. I LOOOOOVE them. They're exactly as advertised. I have a... ahem... cookie problem. This kitchen safe keeps me from burning through the whole bag of cookies or chips. Once I lock it up - it takes the stress of willpower off me. Surprising how easy it is to NOT crave something when you know you can't have it. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!

The base of my Kitchen Safe broke after it was dropped, and I was glad to be able to just purchase the bottom part of it! It works just like the original, and saved me some money. This is a great product. I use it to keep my kid from being on the tv during the night by putting remotes inside when he goes to bed. I do not have to constantly tell him when he can watch TV, he can see the time ticking down on the top of the box. Can also be used to put other things in time out for consequences. Great product.

This is awesome. Has saved my cell phone and internet addiction like nothing else. Just put my phone in there for an hour or two and I can get stuff done. I got another burner phone for emergencies.I figure if I need to lock up more stuff I can get a little suitcase and put stuff in it and then put the keys in there.I drilled a hole for my phone charger to go in. If you do that be careful. The plastic is very brittle on the base. I shattered the first one trying it.

Got it down off a shelf and dropped it. When I picked it up it split into two pieces. I don't know I guess it had a defect in the plastic because it seems like the plastic is plenty thick and shouldn't break like it did. Naturally this happened after the 30 day return period so I'm just outta luck. If you buy one I suggest that you drop it a couple of times before the return period is up, make sure the same thing don't happen to you.
