Updated review: Despite my original concerns about this cute cat cork holder, 3 years later this item is still performing fine. I would order this again but I do wish it could hold more corks, and I wish it had an opening on the cat’s back for corks, rather than the hinged lid.Original review: This Item is a cute cork holder I can keep on my kitchen counter, handy for daily use. I have a larger cork holder in the bar in my basement rec room but I’m too lazy to take my corks there when I open a bottle of wine in my kitchen. This will be useful as a temporary storage container that I can empty when full and transfer the corks to my larger container. That said, this cork holder has some minor details that I wish were a little better: the ears aren’t perfectly centered and one leg is a little out of balance making the cat lean slightly to one side but not badly enough to return. The biggest concern is the way the cat’s head is hinged from the bottom of the neck. The hinge seems pretty fragile. The head is held in place by a small metal bead on the cat’s back and requires a little pressure on the head to release from the bead so it can open to put a cork inside the body. I am concerned that overtime this design mechanism will result in the hinge breaking. I tried leaving the head “unlocked” but that isn’t stable enough. Hopefully this will last a year or more...

Absolutely darling. It's surprisingly small (which to me is a plus, can be a centerpiece on my small table) but will still probably hold about 30 corks when all is said and done, have about a dozen in mine so far. The tail is mounted in such a way that it can twist off, but can also be twisted back on, and is springy so that when you drop off a cork and close the head, the tail wobbles like it's wagging! Not sure if that was an intentional detail but it cracks me up. Great for anybody who loves wine, dogs, or both!
