How many in all!!
This is a wonderfully written book. It's like giving word problems to children, making them think. I read it to.my 7 yr old grandaughter, who is in 2nd grade. She enjoyed it and was able to figure out all problems posed quite well. I encourage parents to purchase this book, it will get their chill thinking and help them look at word problems in a fun way.

A Math Book
This is a great book for young children to learn about the "real world" of math. Numbers are pervasive in our life and this book is for parents, or important people in the life of a child, to read to a young child. Computation seems to be very important at school, and of course, computation (which is just Arithmetic) has an important place....however, Mathematics goes beyond computation into our world in which we live each day. This is a great book to get that started. Numbers are in everything.

Reinforces Math Topics!!
There are so many wonderful things you can teach from this book, and you don't have to read the whole thing from page 1 in order to clarify the concept. You can teach number sense (whole numbers, fractions)and patters/algebra. It's probably best suited for 1st/2nd graders but you can introduce topics with to kinders and reinforce concepts with the older ones. It should be a staple in every teacher's classroom.

A little disorganized
I bought this for a 3rd grade lesson. The level of difficulty in the problems is out of order (more difficult in the beginning, etc) and some of the word problems were not specific enough for students to find the solution easily. It may work for some, but for me it was a little disorganized and confusing.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM
My son had to read this, well I had to read to him over the summer before going into Kindergarten, a nice read with great illustration. Amazing what he has learned this first year in Kindergarten, now he can read it himself

Great for teaching multiplication.
This book is great for teaching multiplication and the images are a perfect aid for children attempting to answer the questions. However, this book has no real story to maintain the reader's interest.
