Calder and Abstraction: From Avant-Garde to Iconic

I have loved this book and have sent it as a gift to many. I recommend. lots of quality photos.

I've seen the Museum exhibit and this book from Amazon is a good value, with the hardcover being a little less than themuseum's soft cover price. But what I really liked was the video CD: Calder - Sculptor of Air

Rich, comprehensive and well composed. Lots of pictures laid out chronogically, so Calder's development is clear.

Pretty weak for a retrospective show of Calder's work and far too many black and white photos. I would have returned it if I hadn't let the grace period expire. The book was deaquisitioned from my library.This highlights the weakness of buying on line. You cannot visually evaluate the product prior to purchase, especially art books.

Full of stunning pictures. Great for any fan of Calder's work. Priced lower than in the museum store where I first saw it.

A beautiful book. Well written. The images are fabulous. I highly recommend this book.

Excellent quality and photos. I have several books on Alexander Calder and this is one of my favourites. Highly recommended.
