Logitech Harmony Elite Remote Control, Hub and App, Compatible with Alexa (Renewed)

I’ve always been a huge fan of Logitech Harmony multifunctional remotes. I’ve had a few of them over the years, even going so far as to “gift” my old remotes when I’ve upgraded, and the recipients have always been impressed by the devices. This remote is the best and most versatile I’ve ever had, and it literally breaks my heart that Logitech will no longer be manufacturing nor improving these remotes, although to my great relief and delight they will continue to support them (Yay Logitech! You’re the BEST!!) This single remote replaces any and every other remote you have and can makes access to your media as easy as a single button press! This is because you can go online and use the easy walk-through setup to select from virtually every make/model of device for all of your components/devices, then an easy walk-through of how you have everything connected, and Logitech will create routines of commands that are downloaded into the remote. And if this wasn’t enough already, the device is capable of capturing and recording signals from your device remotes that may not be in the vast database. This is quite literally the very best, most versatile, and easy to use multifunction remote on the planet, at least as of the date of this review, and it is the single most valuable piece of tech that I own to make my entertainment media easily accessible to anyone and everyone.

I bought 2 of the harmony elite setup. The first one, I couldn’t connect to the hub using my phone and the app. The remote would connect, the freeze at 58% while syncing to the hub. I factory reset both and tried for hours to no avail. I tried using the desktop app to force a firmware update if needed and that wouldn’t work either. The second one connected to my phone no problem and I could program everything. I had the phone working fairly well as a controller (there was occasionally has a huge delay in input resulting in the volume moving up/down over a minute after pressing buttons) After using the second one for about 10 minutes with my phone as the remote, I tried to sync the controller to the hub so that I could use that. It too froze and bricked at 58% sync. I left it overnight and tried multiple power on/off, factory reset, and nothing made it work. This really is a terrible piece of technology. I had also purchased a 655 to setup at a friends house and tried it after all of this time wasting and it was near problem free. Way more usable that the elite. By usable I mean that it worked as a remote and wasn’t a $250 brick. The 655 is ok, but not being able to rid the screen of 25 pages of menus for each device is dumb. I should be able to remove all of the commands that will never be used so that I can have a simple and useful remote. Logitech really needs to try these before they ship them, as well as simplify the whole kit. They went too big and did everything terribly instead of doing a couple of things really well. I picked up a sevenhugs remote X to try yesterday and it is so much better than the elite. The app actually lets you set it up how you want. My receiver page is customized with every button I could need to control all of my devices, the Apple TV page is a single page with all of the standard controls, as well as skip 10 sec forward and back, my LG C9 page has everything it needs in one place as well. Today I will connect all of my Phillips hue to it and program the point mode, which seems like it will be a breeze considering how easy the rest of the setup was.

Had been using a 650 prior to this, but recently got a new TV that used bluetooth and so my old remote wouldn't work with this new set. Being spoiled with the 650 activity feature and the elimination of 10 remotes, I was on a quest. I at first tried a SofaBaton product, and although I could control the devices the activity function wasn't there. Sought out a Logitech Elite with hub as it can control with IR, bluetooth and IP. Found this one refurbished and decided to sink the money into it as really wasn't able to find anything else that I really liked. The unit arrived and it was in good shape, no major signs of abuse and came with the two blasters, remote, hub and cables, (thanks Garcia Wares). Opened the app, configured the wifi, setup the remote, and then was able to get it to control all my devices and setup the activities. It is a real shame that Logitech got out of this marketspace.

I have had 3 of these and love them. This one dies after a day of sitting on the table. No return to my emails... its not Logitech, they have been excellent with support. Its THIS company!

This is a replacement for a Harmony 1000 that has served me well for 6 years. This unit was more difficult to set-up but once I worked through those issues, I am pleased with the performance. One thing that is odd is that the surround speakers that I have do not seem to set up as cleanly as they did on the previous model.

The power cord for hub did not work

Worked like a charm. Easy to program and customize.

Have had the two previous versions of the Harmony. This new remote worked well for 6 months and then started to mis-fire on activity commands. Now it pretty much does nothing right. have wiped it clean and completely rebooted twice. No better. Logitech service is not responding to my 3 pleas for help. Extremely disappointed.

Product is defective I paid for the shipping for 2 ways,I never thought they have defective item, icontacted BIG SALES they said they will refund my money back for shipping if I send them invoice they pay only the item price not the both side shipping , they started to bring excuses about the policy , their product is defective and on the top of that they wanted to charged me 20% of restocking fee, BE AWARE they scam people save your money and time, this is not the way of doing business and scam people , even though it is company fault that their product doesn’t work and the customer had to pay 2 way shipping and end up loosing money and not having the product, shame on that business if I could I would rated BIG SALES company with zero star .......
