Traditional Recipes of Laos

Perfect for the young ones who want to try to make traditional recipes. I love this book.

I collect cookbooks and realized I needed one from Laos. When I first came across this one, it was unavailable so I kept it in my wish list. Eventually, there was one available so I bought it and I'm glad I did. It includes authentic recipes and a lot of fish recipes which I love. There is a Laotian writing and the English translation. I gave it a 4 star because there aren't photos with the recipes. I guess it wouldn't matter if you grew up eating these dishes but for someone new to Laos cooking, it would be nice to see a few photos so I know if my end results turned out okay. Despite the lack of photos, the flavors are good so I am happy with this book.

The book is very well written. Offer a wide variety of recipes to fill your palettes for years to come. The covers the traditions very well even mom and grandma would be please with the amounts of recipes found in this book is replicated. I highly recommend this book.

The recipes are mostly for special occasions and requires meat that's not common like water buffalo or quail eggs.

Great cookbook and great recipes. Brought back memories of when I lived in Laos and the food I ate while I lived there.

Das Buch ist für Interessenten der authentischen laotischen Küche sehr empfehlenswert. Die Rezepte sind einfach und als Grundrezept vieler laotischer Gerichte zu verstehen. Mittlerweile gibt es Abwandlungen bzw. neue Kreationen der Gerichte.
