Atmosphere: An Intro to Meteorology 12e

Useful book

I have been searching for the kind of book which would be apt for beginners. This is the one book which covers the basic aspect of Meteorology. Pages are nice and colorful, theory is extensive. Learned a lot. Only thing it lacks is mathematics or equations of physics that describes our atmosphere. But maybe that's for dynamic Meteorology. Overall it's worth a read.

However, the moment I received the book, I was very satisfied with this book and below are some of the key features of this book:* Different topics are segregated into separate chapters, & every chapter has it's own sub-chapters* Photographs & diagrams are plentiful & available wherever you need them* FAQs are spread out throughout the book, in each and every chapter* Each & every chapter has a summary at the end* Each & every chapter also includes questionnaires for each sub-chapter, as well as the end of the complete chapter* Each & every chapter also includes satellite images & their explanations* Index is very detailed & accurate, & I couldn't find a single entry missing* Concepts are explained in a very simple & easy to understand mannerThe only drawback is that it lacks math problems, which other books might include. Also, the fonts are a bit small, probably in order to fit in the extremely detailed amount of information provided in this book.So overall, this book is highly recommended for all meteorology nerds out there, & it's full 560 pages of atmosphere & weather related goodness! Look no further - this is a worthwhile investment!

Excellent book, you must buy if want to study about atmosphere . Pictures, description, contents are nice.

The book is good but I received the product with slightly damaged edges and seems bit old.

I'm reading the book in library or ebook from past 4 years, and it is the best book for understanding climate. At first I was afraid if the book would be colourful or not, I'm glad it is.
