WILL NOT PROGRAM - DEFECTIVE CHIP
Don't waste your money on this key. It will not program properly because the chip inside is the wrong frequency for the car models listed. Not only that, but the chip was in backwards. We had to pay an automotive locksmith to disassemble the remote and use one of his chips in it in order to get a working key. It ended up costing more than if we had just purchased a key elsewhere due to the time and labor costs involved. I watched the locksmith work and the key would not program to start the car, period, unless the chip was changed. Do not buy these keys, they may not work with your car and then you will be out more money. My guess is the seller is failing to test these remotes properly before selling them. You've been warned...

Solid Replacement
It arrived yesterday & I took it to get cut/programmed by a local locksmith this morning for $55. Looks exactly like my original & feels a bit heavier, so seems solid. Does not have the Mazda emblem which was expected, however you can buy it separately on Amazon for $8 if you have a touch of OCD like me. The chip did come in a separate baggie. At first the locksmith was worried about this because it meant he had to take apart the upper key section, but according to him it was easier than expected & he didn't even have to "wind it". All in all, I'm satisfied & would purchase again. The only improvement I would recommend is to have the chip pre-installed to make it easier

Don't buy!
It all seemed OK at first. Wanted to save some money so...Did the door and lock stuff to copy the fob. Then had someone cut it. He informed me it also has a immobilizer that won't let you start it unless you program it. Did that and everything was going OK for about a week. Soon the fob buttons stopped working reliably. Trunk became alarm, alarm became trunk and then lock and unlock stopped working 7/10 times. Now the immobilizer seems to be wonky cause I got stuck in a parking lot. Don't buy it!

Cheap quality, but does the job.
Fairly decent quality key fob. Didn't get the chance to program the chip and cut the key. The purpose was to use the casing of the new key fob. I was able to transfer the original key, chip, and the small circuit board onto the casing of the new key fob. It took a bit of messing around with but I was able to get everything in place. However, I also noticed that the top half of the casing was not aligned with it's lower half. Thus, causing the key to scrape the inner plastic every time I'd open or close it in place. Nonetheless, it works.

Carefull, Chip in a small bag in the bottom of the box
There were no instructions, but the tiny chip (that should have already been installed) was in a small bag in the bottom of the box and I almost threw it away. Also, its quite hard to re-assemble the spring mechanism after taking apart to install the chip. In the end it was a good price and it worked just fine, that's the only reason I rated it as high as I did.

No transponder chip. Won’t start car.
We bought this ECCPP replacement FoB in May, 2019. The door and trunk remote burins worked fine, but after much hassle and troubleshooting we determined that this product did not have the transponder chip needed for the key to operate the ignition. Therefore it gets zero stars.

Buttons are reversed
I got the key cut at a locksmith's for $5. Took it to the dealership to have it programmed. They did program it and it all works but the alarm button releases the trunk latch and the truck latch button sets off the alarm.

Worthless, Will not Properly Program
If you own a Mazda that uses this type of key fob, beware. I purchased two and neither one will properly program. Am now having issues with the seller taking them back and refunding my money.

These keys " Don't work " took them to the Mazda Dealership and they said these key and fob are not programmable. What a waste of US$70 for purchase and shipping to Canada.
