So comfortable! I have planter fasciitis and get steroid shots ...
So comfortable! I have planter fasciitis and get steroid shots and get physical therapy.... They shoes ROCK! I quit wearing my molded arch support in my shoes and wear these every day now! I'm a photographer so stand on my feet for 6 to 12 hours at. a time and don't get me wrong my feet do you still hurt but at least I have some comfort for the first few hours now with the shoes. Every day life is now bearable with the shoes and my feet don't hurt at all. I will buy another pair of these shoes in probably six months!

and have so many problems finding a comfortable walking shoe
I have very flat and wide feet (think Fred Flintstone feet), and have so many problems finding a comfortable walking shoe. I've never worn a running shoe, but thought I'd give this one a try and it fit pretty well. The only issue I have is that the heel slides up and down a bit. It's rare for me to find a shoe that doesn't do that, but this style is more tolerable than most. Love the color, and would definitely buy it again in other colors if I could find more available! I spent a week in Walt Disney World walking around in these and the arch support was great. No foot pain!

Finally! Shoes that offer relief for my poor feet!
I absolutely love these shoes! I am overweight and have plantar fasciitis. I have spent hundreds of dollars on shoes, trying to find a pair of shoes that will give my feet the support that they need. After doing a lot of research I came across the New Balance W1340 and read the reviews off of a few different sites. They all had great reviews, so I decided to give them a try. They are definitely pricey, but well worth the money. This is the first pair of shoes that I can wear all day long (I'm on my feet a lot during the day!) and then wear to the gym after work! After the gym my feet do hurt a little, but it is a far cry from what it was! I am just thrilled to be able to go to the gym now! This is my first pair of New Balance shoes and I'm in love! I found that they run a little wide. I wear a size 9.5 and have wide feet so I ordered the 9.5 in the wide width. My foot feels like they swim in them! I put in another insole on top of what the shoe came with and it feels much better. Some may frown upon this, but it works for me and I'm happy! Bottom line... I highly recommend these shoes!

It's not about fashion, it's about happy feet!
I just bought my 2nd pair in a size 9. I typically wear a 8 1/2 in regular shoes and a 9 in running. I bought these on the advice of my orthopedist after I came down with horrible plantar fasciitis in both feet. I also had minuscule tears in both Achilles' tendons. I was a walking mess! The doctor worried a bit about these shoes rubbing against my Achilles, but that was not the case. Both the plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis is gone and hope it doesn't return. The shoes hold up nice (see photo of old pair vs. new pair). I've been wearing this model since early 2016 along with orthotics and will not look back. My orthotics work perfectly with these. No trimming needed. I highly recommend these shoes. I can finally get back to running again.

and I love them. In fact
This is my second pair of this model, and I love them. In fact, my husband, a son, and a daughter all have the same model! We have wide feet and over pronate badly, but the amount of support in these shoes keeps us on our feet.I really like the new purple and pink color of this year's shoe!

The tongue is flimsy and uncomfortable.
I fast walk, including hills, about 5 miles/day. This workout wears out shoes quickly. I typically use NB running shoes, tho I have to size up (from W 11 to W 12) as these shoes run small, and are more narrow in the toe box (tho I have narrow feet, I buy a M width). I can't find W size 12 in other brands, and going to a men's shoe gives me too wide a heel.I'm sadly rating these only 3 stars because of the tongue. It's flimsy, and no matter how I lace the shoes (am on the 4th try now) it bunches up such that I am constantly stopping to pull it down. Yes, the lacing loop SHOULD be holding the tongue in place, but it does not. There isn't anything at the top of the tongue to stiffen it, and it seems likely to get holes in the fabric as quickly as the tops of my former NB shoes have gotten in the past...not from hard wear beating them up either. At $140.00 this is unacceptable. I will say tho that they have the same great cushioning, stability and motion control that I have come to depend on with this line, and are very comfortable, hence the 3* rating.Come on NB...At the price of these shoes, I should at least be able to get the expected 500 miles out of them. Instead of the 350-400 I tend to get with your running shoes before they are noticeably broken down inside. And what gives with this new tongue issue?

Spend the money, it's worth it to have shoes that fit.
I am a 4E 7.5 women's, with a thick arch. In other words, shoes rarely fit. I normally have to buy at least a full size larger and settle for a pair of shoes that will wear out too soon due to my thick, wide feet. My husband calls them "hobbit feet, but shorter." I bought these in 2E 7.5 and they actually are comfortable. Yes, they are a tad snug, but so few people have feet like mine I feel I can highly recommend them for those who truly struggle in finding cute shoes that fit. Believe me, I'm a teacher, I did not want to spend +$130 for a pair of shoes, but after three years on my feet in shoes that only made it worse, I gave in and bought these. I LOVE THEM! They are sparkly, funky, purple and fun. Do they really fit a professional wardrobe? No. But as I can function with a smile, no one in admin cares. I wear them with everything. Now I'm just the quirky science teacher. I wish I had caved to my budget a while ago as I would have saved a lot of pain and weariness, which I've learned is worth the extra $60 to avoid.I put the fit as somewhat large as I never expected 2E to be as comfortable as these. For measurement purposes, my feet are 9.5" long (tip of toe to end of heel) and 9.5" around (thickest part of foot).
