Universal Tach Hour Meter Mounting Bracket Fit for EU1000i EU2000i EU2200i Honda Generator

Works well on my Honda generator with an hour meter. Very easy to put on.

I couldn't find any good place inside or out to mount the hour meter so this bracket did the trick perfectly. Despite many reports of it blocking the carb drain screw, the screw is now behind it but still very easy to access. Initially removing the bolts where the bracket mounts was tough, like they were secured at the factory with Loctite. So when I put the bolts back on I added a drop of Loctite 242 to each so they will be as they were and all the generator vibration won't work them lose.

The bracket is very nice. It holds the hour meter very nicely. It's recessed just enough so the meter doesn't hit the cover. The bracket however will hit the cover. So to ensure the cover closes all the way you have to take some sandpaper and reduce one of the fines in the cover mold. Not a big deal but some additional work that's needed for a good fit. All in all it's a nice product just be aware of some slight modification that needed.

Extremely easy to install. I bought the hour meter as well to allow me to track the hours on my Honda EU2200I for hour tracking. All i had to do was remove the two silver nuts to the left of the air filter housing and slide the bracket on and reinstall the nuts. Done. Great product. Honda needs to start putting these in every Generator they sell.

This bracket interferes with the Canadian EU2200iTC version due to the factory-installed thick grey insulation. However, it's easy to modify it for a proper fit. I used a dremel tool to saw parts fo the bracket, see attached pictures. Note that the factory-installed thick grey insulation partially masks the carburetor drain screw, so the presence of this bracket doesn't really change this. You will need to move the insulation out of the way with the screwdriver in order to access the drain screw.

It worked as advertised on a EU2200i Honda generator (2019 model). There's some insulation that needs to be moved over for it to fit, but no issues for clearance or interference. It looks like a factory fit and finish. Would recommend for the maintenance minded people.

For all the people that say it doesn't fit the Canadian version, here is a picture of the bracket installed on my generator. You have to compress the grey insulation a bit but there is no other problem installing this bracket. Note: All Canadian modifications have been completed on the generator as of May 2019.

Does not fit Honda EU1000i generator with the cold climate option.
