GUNK Engine Degreaser Trigger Spray

i've used many types of cleaners on car parts. i've settled on this one for a water soluble variety

Does what it says it does, no prime shipping. Smells a bit orange or citrus, not sure if harmful to breathe but it made me cough at points, I didn't spray directly in my face.

Believe it or not ... I use this product on my linoleum in my kitchen and dining area ... I also use it on my sink area and counter tops ... where I really use it is on my stove, I have electric burners that come out, so the metal liners underneath will get all kinds of grease build-up ... I remove the burners and squirt this product on them let them sit for about half hour and all the grease comes off easily ... and the metal liners look like new.

I was afraid this would be soap and not solvent. It seems like solvents in many products are hard to get anymore. This does not seem as good an engine degreaser as Gunk solvent products used to be, but seems to work better than a soap product, actually almost works fairly well. So I can't tell what the stuff is, only that it is perhaps acceptable as a degreaser. It does not seem to rinse as well as their former solvent engine degreaser, and requires rubbing the surfaces off while rinsing with water. It does not turn into a white emulsification upon rinsing as did the old version. I am disappointed that apparently I cannot get a solvent in this type of spray bottle.

Sometimes there is something in a brand name. I tried several other products claiming to be degreaser, including Purple Power, etc. I used them side by side on some small Engine parts that is disassembled including a caked up 30+ year old chainsaw. Gunk worked like a miracle and did no harm (pH neutral,) whereas the other products not only didn't cut the grease as well, but literally Dissolved plastic parts and eat through the aluminum pan I was speaking the parts in. I've already ordered several more bottles of the Gunk spray bottle product above. I am absolutely satisfied with its performance!

Works really good. I use it on most any greasy or oily engine, large or small. Cars, lawn equipment, snow equipment. Just take reasonable precautions to keep things like ignition parts and air cleaners dry. I like these trigger spray bottles slightly better than the aerosol as I reuse the empty bottles for lawn weed spray.

live in a very sandy area and whole car is always covered in sand, especially building up in the engine bay and mixing with oils and other dirt. spray this on, leave for a few minutes and wash of and it leaves the engine and bay nice and clean

I had a nasty oil filter housing leak on my BMW E46. It had gone unnoticed for some time so the oil leaked all over my steering rack and sway bar. Sprayed this stuff all over the affected areas, allowed time to soak and break down the oil, and wiped clean with some Scott Shop Towels (do not use regular paper towels as they tear easily and create lint). You can use microfiber towels, but this is a costlier option. Shop towels are absorbent and do not tear or produce lint. I was able to remove the oil and built-up gunk with a few applications of this product and my engine is now spotless.
