Maisy Makes Lemonade

I like the simplicity and colorful artwork of Maisy books. We had the gingerbread book and my 3 year old memorized the ingredients by us reading it to him so much. Now he knows the lemonade ingredients too!The book is a nice size for small hands to hold and look through. The simple artwork really supplements the story well and is understandable for a 3 year old...what I mean is that he enjoys pointing to the things he recognizes and seems to relate to the story.

I am a children's librarian and find that the Maisy books are an excellent series for younger preschoolers who are growing out of board books, but not quite ready to sit through many of the longer\more complex picture books. The simple, bold illustrations & brief text are excellent for two and three year olds. Be prepared though--Maisy makes her lemonade from scratch, so you may find your little one asking to make "real lemonade" (instead of using a powdered mix.)

My preschoolers loved it! Maisy books are always so cute. A great read for any classroom or home.

If you are the parent of a young child, you probably know who Maisy is. She's a mouse with a duck, a squirrel, an elephant, and a crocodile for friends. Why the crocodile isn't trying to eat the others is beyond me, but that's life in Maisy's world.Both of my daughters love the Maisy books; there's something about their simple stories and colorful pictures that even appeals to adults. The books are short and easy to read. But, the stories are never obnoxiously simplistic, like so many other books for small children.Maisy's enjoying a cool drink when Eddie decides to slurp it all up. What will Maisy and Eddie do? I guess I've read enough of these to my children that I'm developing favorites. This is one I always seem to enjoy reading to the kids and, as usual, they love it too.

Na historia, o elefante Eddie bebe toda a limonada da ratinha e a ajuda a fazer mais. As cores do livro são lindas. As páginas são finas. Recomendo e assim que o preço baixar, pretendo comprar mais itens da mesma série.
