There are a bewildering array of Motown compilations, but this amongst the very best. Firstly it's got zero filler and none of those dreadful post - '74 horrors; just wall-to-wall genius. There's a handy booklet, whilst the remastered sound is spot on - not too trebly; plenty of bass without any 'loudness wars'. From 'Shop Around' to ' Dancing In The Streets' to 'I Want You Back' to everything that's wonderful about 60's and early 70's Tamla. So, don't bother with the Chartbusters series (terrible sound - unless on vinyl) nor the bigger box sets (some really rotten choices from Lionel Richie, Syreeta etc.) buy this instead, then its twin 'More Motown Classics Gold'! Music doesn't get better than this.

Great collection of Motown classics, a gift that just keeps on giving, you listen to all the ones you're familiar with, and then become infatuated with the ones you normally skip. Before long you're listening to it the whole way through. Great collection with good mastering and mix quality as well as good volume levels.

Enjoyed the cd, but I've heard better, but i will listen to this again and again, i also prefer original singers, that's why i bought it so will recommend this CD and seller, didn't wait too long for it.
