KEF CI50R (White) Single Ceiling Speaker

Firstly, size and convenience... You can't flaw them.I got the back cans too, which you'll need to consider if you don't plan to build your own 'boxes'. Takes the price up to £70 a speaker... without, those, they're not really that good so don't go thinking you can just fit them in the ceiling alone and expect an orchestra to pop down from above!On their own, they're okay, clear enough but not gonna set your world on fire, like say the sound you get from some high end sound bars (with comparably sized cones). I have them as discreet rears in 5.1 setup... And they do everything I want from that point of view - great quality background effects.Finally the paint on the grills, is not really white, like the surround, it's a little on the warm/yellow side but not super noticable once your stood away from them.Room for improvement, Kef, but a good product nonetheless.

Bought 8 of these for our kitchen and dining room. Brilliant speakers for the size. You will want to consider a subwoofer if your looking for sound quality.The only issue I’ve had is underestimating how much sound would travel up when mounted in the ceiling. I’m just about to experiment with some DIY sound proof boxes.
