For being from the South - shockingly, I have for the largest part of my life avoided BBQ - I just found the sauces slightly nauseating and didn't let the flavor of the meat through well, and just in general found the whole idea kind of silly - I mean, when you have to work that hard to "hide" the taste of the meat by hours of smoking, and glazing, and all the other myriad steps and black magic associated with producing what can usually be an overcooked tough piece of meat you generally wouldn't touch unless it were prepared this way - it just didn't make sense.That changed about a year ago when I had to change my diet, and my doctor recommended looking at BBQ sauces for flavor and enhancement that wouldn't add a lot of calories (it sucks getting old!). Sensibly, he told me to avoid sauces that were based with HF corn syrup (in other words, had it as the first four to six ingredients), or if it had a lot of ingredients that I had to lookup on the internet I probably wouldn't want to eat it.I guess I could have experimented with my own sauce, but it seems that sauces can be kind of personal - I have had some that people rave about (and I disliked immensely), and others that people ran from but I did enjoy... all in all, I had about given up on the whole idea of BBQ until the quarantine when I was stuck (in all places) Kansas City.Now you would think being in a city that tries to pride itself on it's BBQ I could find some really great sauces and flavors, but with sources shut down except for grocery stores, that wasn't the case. I was desperate for some flavor to utilize on my broiled meats and picked up a small bottle of this stuff (one of the only left) reluctantly.Boy, I'm glad I did! Stubb's is amazing... not sweet (no HF corn syrup at all!) only 15 calories per tablespoon (less than even diet salad dressing), with a nice little kick of spice - this is as close as I can find to all of the qualities I was looking for. It's thick enough for glazing while grilling, pan frying, broiling or baking (so many sauces are thinner than water and just run off the meat), chars nicely and is fantastic as a dipping sauce. I have used this with steak, chicken, salmon and pork with excellent results every time. It is most definitely my "go to" for flavoring when I am including meat protein in a meal.Unfortunately, returning home I can't find it anywhere around me (one store does carry it at an outrageous price!), so finding it on Amazon (a) in a gallon jug and (b) at a great price is awesome. I don't have to worry about running out anymore either.

Great pricing compared to spending the $4 for a small bottle at the market. We have a smoker and go through bbq sauce quite fast so I’m glad Amazon has this in bulk. The taste Is great and we like mixing this with sweet baby Ray for a more complex flavor. The only thing is the jug didn’t come with an expiration date printed on so we have no idea how long this would last.

This has been my go to for almost a decade now. Great original BBQ sauce flavor. Nothing over the top. Pure goodness! No high fructose corn syrup. Made with molasses and brown sugar. Yum! I recommend 110%

It's good BBQ sauce, but of all the popular BBQ sauces, this is probably the thinnest and least appealing when it comes to flavor. Good for chicken, but not great.

The bride and groom chose this sauce for me to use for their pulled pork. I ordered two it, only used 3/4 of one bottle for four pork butts. I asked Amazon if I could return the unused bottle and ofcorse they said yes but, then told me to keep the extra bottle as well. Super cool! Thanks.p. s. They guest loved the food.

it's cheaper than buying it in the store . it's always there when i need it at this size . it's lower calorie than most bbq sauce and i do count calories. it's spicy and a very good quality.

I’m counting calories and this bbq sauce is amazing! And very low in calories compared to Sweet Baby Rays. It’s a little spicy but I love it!

Its ok,kinda tangy like a steak sauce,as for a bbq sauce it needs help,it makes a good base for adding your own ingredients,like brown sugar,molasses,and spices,like cyanne pepper,and such,but i wouldnt use it on its own
