EcoPlus Eco 1584 Fixed Flow Submersible/Inline Pump 1638 GPH - 728330

This is our 3rd year with our pond. We originally ordered a filter that came with a pump. It worked great for 2 years, and then this year, we had a freak storm, power went out in the house, and it blew the pump. Ordered this one, because it was the same size. It was easy to set up, worked great. For about a week or two. This is now the 3rd time I am going to have to climb around the pond, take it out, clean it, and set it back up. Once I do that it pumps water down my very small (maybe 2 foot high) waterfall. I have backwashed the pump, the water itself isn't mucky or murky, but the pump keeps slowing down. If this continues I may have to return it. I have not had a problem with a pump like this in the past.

I have been running this pump literally non-stop since I purchased it in June 2016 (8 months) for my aquaponics system. The only time it stopped was when my entire system froze this winter for 3 days. Other than that, which wasn't the pumps fault, it has been perfect.I am running a one pump tote system. I have a sump tank, a floating raft tank of top of the sump tank, two separate bed tanks, and a fish tote tank. The total length of my system is around 33' with four elevation splits of about 3 1/2' each. Excellent product in my opinion.

It has a good assortment of nozzles to adapt to whatever application you are using it for. I believe it is definitely pumping the amount of water advertised. Only time will tell it's durability and life span but im very pleased at the moment.

This is my second Eco Plus pump, first one lasted 3 years, this on lasted 2 1/2 months, its used in a hydroponic greenhouse. Not happy. The clip broke off so it will no longer pump water. Plants will die without the pump working. Sent email to company, will see how this goes.UpdateSent email to company, replied next day, said need a couple pieces of information for warranty.

So far it's been working well. I use this for my hydroponic set up. It runs 4-5x a day for about 3-5 minutes at a time. It has worked very well. I used this for 4 plants and it waters them all very sufficiently. I wouldn't doubt it could do 8 plants.

Pump failed after 10 months of use in 2016, eco plus did not grant the warranty claimimg it was a 2015 production because of the pump serial number. Not a reliable product.

Nice pump, seems to be working good. Prescreen is nice but you have to clean it often
