I'm pleased with this, the only thing that stops it getting 5 stars is that the gap you have to get the wick into is so small my wife has to put her glasses on to see it. I use it all the time though. Looks nice too

Great use as a candle lighter. The flexible arm makes it easy to use in confined spaces. Great value for money.

I love a scented candle and have always used a long, rigid gas filled lighter. I was fed up of it running out of gas, or it would just stop working and I would have to buy another. When the candle lighter arrived it had a plastic safety guard on the end, once removed it looked a little like a taser at the end. There is an on/off switch for safety in case little ones decide to press the power button and 5 lights to indicate how much battery life is left. I have had my lighter for 3 weeks now and it has just gone down to 3 lights. This is very good because on the first day I pressed the button over 100 times, as I had seen some reviews that said that it didn't last long between charges. Since then I have used it at least 5 times daily as one of the rings on my cooker won't light because the ignition has broken and my old gas fire has the same problem. The 10cm bendy neck makes it easy to get inside the bars of the fire at an angle, without getting too close to the burst of flames ( my husband used to singe the hairs on the back of his hands). I waited for a windy day to try out the lighter on my gas bbq, it was excellent, usually we would spend ages trying to keep the flame from blowing out, with this lighter there is no flame so it was easy, we just put it close to the gas burner and pressed the power button as we turned on the gas. It would be great for camping trips as I have no doubt that it would last throughout the holiday on one charge. It comes with a usb charger, which I have not yet used because it was fully charged when it arrived, but the charging port is at the bottom of the lighter. I have seen a few reviews that say that the sound from the lighter is awful and sends dogs barmy but I only have cats and they are not bothered at all by it. In my opinion it makes less noise than a conventional flick lighter, it's more of a small buzz, which is a bit weird at first but I find that I don't even notice it now. There is not much to dislike about this lighter, it looks good, does the job and is really easy to use, a real game changer for me!

Does the job well

I purchased this item to light candles and the log burner and have been totally satisfied with its performance.It is easy to operate, recharge and is clean, much better than using matches.

Have had it for less than a year, and if I used it a dozen times that was plenty. The 'off' switch stopped working and the lighter started producing a constant buzzing sound. It was relatively inexpensive so I guess I got what I paid for.
