Great oil!
Seems to be potent and healing. Had a big feeling of well being the first time I used it in a blend for adrenal support. Couldn’t get it to drip from bottle so am using a dropper to dispense. Thanks!

Completely cured our tween daughter's hormonal facial skin rashes
Our family is plagued with skin issues. As a mom, I grew up with sensitive skin, rashes, hives, and acne. I've even been blessed enough to obtain a nasty toe fungus after a shady pedicure. Our son was born with eczema and continues to fight the battle of itchy, sensitive, infected skin. Our tween daughter (who is hormonally challenged) has been battling mysterious facial bumps and rashes for the past 2 years and our dermatologist has been unable to prescribe anything that helps.I'm not one of those mom who solely believes in natural, non-prescription products. I'm a level headed, experienced, mom who has seen benefits from both the herbal/natural and western medicinal sides. When making a purchase decision for my children's skin, it typically comes down to three issues: side effects, safety, and efficacy. After reading rave reviews about this product and researching its safety and natural ingredients, I decided to pull the trigger. The three of us are using Manuka oil for different reasons. It's trial use on my son's eczema/wounds and on my toenail fungus is still ongoing and I will be sure to report back and update this review once sufficient time has passed to determine it's effectiveness. Fortunately (I scream with excitement), we've already seen immediate, positive results on my daughter's skin, so I felt compelled to share this review in hopes that it helps others with similar issues. Our daughter (who is now 12) began getting small whitish/red bumps pop on on her skin around her nose, mouth and chin area about 2 years ago. It was extremely embarrassing for her as it made her skin red, itchy, and noticeable to peers. (This is horrific for a female tween.) In desperation, I tried everything: prescription dermatologist-recommended ointment (Protopic), tea tree oil, coconut oil, anti-fungal prescription medication (Nystatin), hypoallergenic lotions, creams, and antibiotic ointment. We saw a slight improvement with tea tree oil and protonic for a few days, but nothing else really helped. The rash would come and go causing much stress and humiliation.I won't lie....my daughter HATES the smell of Manuka oil. She loves the smell of tea tree oil. They are two entirely different products. While I don't mind the smell of either, she literally won't put the oil on her finger to apply it to her face. It makes her nauseous. Being the loving, controlling mother that I am, I did it for her. I love that it has a dropper applicator. We've used other oils that require shaking and it wastes too much oil. For the first week, we applied the oil in a thin layer around her nose, mouth, and chin, twice daily. Within a day of use, it began drying out the rash and leaving peeling skin behind. It took the red out almost immediately but the white, dead skin it left behind caused further embarrassment. We supplemented with another product found on Amazon that also includes Manuka oil in lotion form (Honeyskin). It helped to hide and moisten the dry skin through it's stages. Within a few days, the dry skin began to slough off and beautiful, clear skin could be seen underneath. If we missed a day in treatment, the bumps would begin to show through again. I can't stress enough to be consistent with use, especially during the first week. Within one week's time, we knew the product was 100% effective. It took about 2 full weeks for the rash to disappear completely.I still encourage (with force) my daughter to use this oil every night after she washes her face with a mild cleanser. She still doesn't like the smell, but recognizes and appreciates it's effectiveness. She uses the honey skin lotion to minimize dryness. This Manuka oil has made a huge difference in her facial appearance and self esteem. Very few products we've tried have worked this quickly with minimal side effects. I would say the only real side effect we encountered was very dry, peeling skin. Be sure you have a good lotion to counter this healing process because the oil isn't enough. If you happen to travel with the product, I'd recommend double bagging it as it does leak and you don't want this smell in your suitcase.I highly recommend the use of this product for Tweens and teenagers facing hormonal changes. We love our dermatologist, but he really missed the boat on diagnosis and treatment of this issue. Had it truly been eczema, we would have seen improvement from the medicine he prescribed that works wonders on our son with eczema. I feel this was truly hormonal and likely would have developed into acne.I've attached before and after photos of my daughter's skin problem. Take it from an exhausted mom who spends 100% of her time and salary on skin care products. This one is worth a place in your medicine cabinet.

New packaging, same smell
This order of Manuka oil came in different packaging from my last order. The bottle is green and comes with a dropper. I submitted a photo, showing the two side by side. My last order says 100% pure New Cape, this order says 100% pure New Zealand. The old bottle is brown, the new is green. The new order has that distinct sharp smell as the previous order. I'll update if there is any difference in performance. I'm assuming it is the same; I just reordered the same product from my orders list. The original worked great on abrasions, pimples and rashes. Let's hope the new version does the same.

This works for foot fungus! Photo proof included with update
7/2017 update on bottom. In June 2016 I had a problem. I had been showering after someone who has foot fungus and it was obvious I had become infected. Gross. So gross. And if you read up on it basically sounds like herpes and good luggage- you have it for life. Oh- unless you want to deal with a lil'bit of possible liver damage then you can take an oral medicine that probably will cure it. Scary and no thanks. So I did a lot of reading on what people claim to have cured their toenail fungus. Vicks vapor rub, manuka oil and tea tree seemed to be the top 3 weapons of choice; however, I am a seeing-is-believing kind of person and I didn't see a lot of picture proof. *I did see a lot of feet. And not healthy ones.So I went to Amazon to read reviews on all three of the products and I began to see some picture proof under manuka oil. Sold.Once I received the product, I began placing 1-2 drops of oil onto a q-tip then placing the oil on each toenail and making sure some ran down under the nail. I did this every morning and every night for 3 months straight. I am terrible about beginning new regimens and sticking with them but I did it. I did it because no way was I going to live with nail fungus. I like sandals, barefeet, walks on the beach ... so I was committed and I think that is the key --> daily application twice a day.Describing the smell is difficult. I have never smelled anything like it before. To me tea tree oil is strong/pungent/sharp and is medicinal in scent but semi-pleasant. Manuka oil, in my opinion, is a cross between eucalyptus and dirty clothes - a heavy, complex smell; not one you would leave a room for but one you wouldn't draw closer to in order to get another whiff. It is like smelling 2 conflicting scents at the same time. That being said smell did not turn me off from using it, and yes I was gung ho about using it but I also ended up using this product on my face and scalp. After about a month of use I could already tell my toenails were improving - but I knew they would also have to grow out in order to see real results. So I kept at it 2 more months then I dropped back to using it just at night but only because I have 3 kids- so I had too much other stuff to think about once school started. I continued to see improvement. Around month 4 we moved to a new home (goodbye contageous offender!) and my routines were demolished. I began applying the oil maybe once a week. But I bought Purely Northwest Anti-Fungal foot and body wash and using it in each shower. I apply the gel to a toothbrush and clean each toenail. It tingles. I believe it also works to help control the fungus.I purchased a second bottle of this product in August because I wanted to see if it would help some seborrhoric dermatitis that had now appeared near my eyebrow and nose. Fun times. So I got a seperate bottle just because I didn't want to use the same bottle as I was using for my feet. I began applying manuka oil at night on the affected areas and it cleared up in under 2 weeks. I have kept it at bay by applying the oil maybe once a week and so far so good.I don't write many reviews but I wanted to add my seeing-is-believing photo for the next person who wants to see results. I am writing this about 6 months to the day from when I began applying the oil. See photo for before and after (before on bottom, after on top). Awesome, right?! (*feet are so unattractive and mine are no exception) (**I had surgery as a child to remove an ingrown toenail so my nail is oddly shaped)I am very pleased with this product and will continue to use it on my toes, face, and whatever else gets infected down the line.Update 7/2017-I've attached an updated photo of my toes. No sign of infection and the damaged area has completely grown out, I think. The nails look much more like they used to. Very pleased with this product and the results. I continue to use the manuka oil for breakouts, dandruff, bug bites, etc.
