Polar Express

I bought The Polar Express because it is one of those holiday stories that feels special every time you read it. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story has that perfect mix of Christmas magic, imagination, and nostalgia. It is enjoyable for kids, but adults can appreciate it just as much, especially if you grew up with the book or movie. It has become the kind of story that is perfect to pull out during the holidays, read together as a family, and then put back on the shelf until Christmas comes around again. And somehow, after reading it, you start listening a little more carefully for sleigh bells. 😂 Overall, a wonderful Christmas book, beautifully illustrated, and a great gift for children or families.

I needed this book for a gift basket. The book was beautiful and at a very good price. I would highly recommend.

Excellent new hardback with Christmas ornament included!

Excellent book for the kids and the big kids at heart! I used to read this to my kids when they were little every Christmas Eve and I bought one for each of the grandkids and I read it to them on Christmas Eve!

My 7 year old checked this book out at school but it's old, badly worn, and have dirty pages. I bought him this which is slightly updated and new without any germs. He absolutely loves it!

The Polar Express is popular with almost everyone. I had to purchase this book for my sister. She loves the movie and book alike. To be honest, I prefer the movie. The book is very different and straightforward. The movie has so much more. I find the book beautiful and great for kids- though I appreciate the lovely/additional scenes in the movie. The book is simple and easy to read- provides easy to follow reading for kids. The pictures remind me so much of past Christmas holidays- very nostalgic. Overall, I recommend this book for kids/adults alike.

After years of reading this every December, I can honestly say The Polar Express has become one of those rare books that truly holds up over time—the story is calm, magical, and quietly meaningful, with illustrations that feel almost cinematic and invite kids to linger on each page; it’s especially lovely for cozy nighttime reading and works well for a wide age range since younger kids enjoy the visuals while older kids start to grasp the deeper theme about belief and wonder, though it is more reflective than action-packed, so it’s best for slower, intentional read-aloud moments rather than high-energy storytime. I highly recommend this item & I hope this review is helpful 👍🏻

I love this book so much. Growing up my dad would pick out 3-5 books and display them and then let us pick one to read on Christmas Eve so of course when I had a daughter I wanted to have the same books for her to read on Christmas Eve. The art in this book is lovely and rich. It just feels like Christmas and the winter time. The pages are buttery and thick. Overall I highly recommend this book for family traditions during the holidays. It terms of reading allowed the font size is around a 14 (see photo) and the story itself is not too long. The pages are big and bright so perfect for kids to see while you are reading.

My grandkids love this story, i also bought the bell from amazon.

Häftad bok med fina bilder.

I have to give this book 5 stars since it was the inspiration for my favorite Christmas movie of all time; it is meant as a bedtime story for children, only 32 pages, most of it filled with beautiful pastel pictures which I'm sure will delight toddlers and reads very well; it has a Christmas ornament inside and a link to a website where you can download an audio file of Liam Neeson reading the story; I'm sure kids will love to hear it over and over; as a grown up who saw the movie first, I have to tip my hat to Robert Zemeckis, Tom Hanks and the writers who expanded quite a bit and made it a much fuller, longer and magical Christmas tale; If you are a great fan of The Polar Express like me, I would suggest you buy: "The Art of The Polar Express", which is a jaw dropping 132 pages "making of"' filled with pictures from the movie as well as many characters and landscapes in different stages of development. All in all, a magical book for all!

There is no audio with the book

Está en inglés. La historia es ligeramente diferente a la película, pero es preciosa y las ilustraciones también. A mi hijo le encanta. El formato es elegante pero un poco grande para un niño.
