It is solidly constructed and I like the fact that it comes with a DC mini plug with adapter cable that gives it extra utility. BEWARE ! This is a "cigarette lighter" adapter and is not fully compatible nor the same thing as 12Volt outlets found in most new cars and other vehicles. As I found out, if you want this adapter to work with USB chargers and other devices made for 12 volt outlets, you will have to modify it. Modification is fairly easy and requires you to replace the recessed center pin with a screw that protrudes.
