Bohin Tapestry Hand Needles-Size 26 6/Pkg

I'm reviewing the 6 pack of Bohin sewing (tapestry) needles as someone who prolifically cross stitches. The blunt end on these needles make for a very smooth entry into the cloth you are working with whether the cloth be Aida or linen. I have found, as opposed to DMC needles, the eyes of Bohin needles are smooth and hardly ever catch on the floss you are working with. Threading these needles is an easy operation too. The eyes are just big enough to make threading almost effortless while also not stretching the cloth when you pull the stitch through your cloth. The finish on every needle is flawless - smooth chromium every time. Lastly, if you can stitch without losing your needle (as happens to me often), the needles last a very long time and the finish doesn't easily wear off.These Bohin needles are an easy five star rating from me. Simply put, these needles are some of the best I've used in my 30 years of stitching.

bought these for a cross stitch workshop. It is a nice size and think I will buy for other projects as well. Bohin makes really nice quality needles that I buy for stitchery, applique, etc.

These needles are far superior to DMC, John James, and other tapestry needles I've used over the years. I try to use Bohin needles whenever possible as they glide through the fabric without snagging and do not break as easily as the more cheaply made DMC. The points are the perfect amount of bluntness whereas John James points are too blunt and are more difficult to use with precision and are even sometimes difficult to push through the fabric. My needles arrived on schedule and in perfect condition.

Not only are these the only tapestry needles I will ever buy, I have recently discovered that their quilting and appliqué needles are outstanding as well. The finish is flawless and the eyes are smooth and well-shaped, making them easy to thread.

These are my MOST favorite needles! Many reviewers say that the eyes break quickly, but that is most likely due to using metal needle threaders. I broke a few while using those, but ever since using beeswax to lightly coat the end of my floss to easily thread the needle I haven’t broken a single needle. I used less than a pack of these needles to do the attached large project that took me a year to complete. Extend the life of your needles and get yourself a little chunk of beeswax!
